There is no GTA VI Collector’s Edition of the game. Rockstar sells two game editions—the $79.99 Standard Edition and $99.99 Ultimate Edition—and a separate $399.99 Collector’s Box called The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. The box contains merchandise, not the game. Add the Standard Edition and the box together and the announced US prices total $479.98 before tax and shipping.
First, the naming matters: the Collector’s Box is not a game edition
Rockstar’s game editions are Standard and Ultimate. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a standalone merchandise set, and Rockstar explicitly says the game is sold separately. So the meaningful comparison is between Standard and Ultimate for the game, followed by a separate decision about whether the physical collectibles are worth buying.

These are US prices announced or listed as of October 3, 2026; regional pricing, taxes, shipping, retailer offers, availability and later changes can differ. Rockstar Support says Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately after redeeming the game code, so the $20 difference does not have to be decided upfront.
What does the Ultimate Edition add?
The Ultimate Edition includes the game and an upgrade with named in-game content. Rockstar describes the bonuses as premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action threaded across Jason and Lucia’s story, with new items revealed behind each chapter. The listed content is:

The published list establishes what the upgrade contains, but not how much any individual item changes the experience or how valuable it will feel to a particular player. Standard is the lower-cost way to get the game; Ultimate costs $20 more for these specified extras.

The Rockstar Store listing gives the box dimensions as 19 × 13.5 × 12.5 inches, says it is not eligible for free shipping, and describes it as an adult collectible rather than a toy. Shipping cost and delivery availability are checkout details that can change. Rockstar’s product information names the contents and price but does not establish a resale value or comparative value for the objects.

Take-Two announced Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a scheduled launch date of November 19, 2026. Its June 24, 2026 announcement set US game prices at $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate.

Rockstar says qualifying pre-orders and purchases of either edition before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack: a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. Take-Two also says digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+. These are not simply Ultimate-only bonuses. Confirm the applicable store’s local terms and cutoff time before purchasing.
The physical game version is a download code in a box, not a disc. Rockstar says physical copies are expected to be available for shipping and pickup beginning November 12, 2026, to support pre-loading. A physical Standard owner can redeem the code and later purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefront.

How to decide which purchase fits
- Choose Standard if you want the game at the lowest announced US price and do not yet know whether the Ultimate upgrade’s listed extras matter to you.
- Choose Ultimate if the named in-game content is worth $20 more to you. You can also start with Standard and make this choice later through the separately available upgrade.
- Consider the Collector’s Box separately if you want its specific physical items and accept that the game is not included. Buying it with Standard totals $479.98 at the announced/listed US prices, before tax and shipping.
- Check format before buying if you specifically want a disc: the boxed physical game is a download code, not disc media.
