No new GTA VI delay has been officially announced as of August 18, 2026. Rockstar still lists Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version and PC release date have not been announced.

Rockstar’s official GTA VI page and Take-Two’s latest release schedule continue to list November 19, 2026. That is the current announced date, not a guarantee that the schedule cannot change.

The phrase “delayed yet again” refers to the second change, announced in November 2025—not a fresh delay in August 2026. Rockstar’s May 2025 announcement set the May date, and its November 2025 announcement moved it to November 19. Rockstar said the extra time was needed to complete the game and deliver the level of polish players expect; it did not give a more detailed technical explanation.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version or PC release date. The currently confirmed platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, including Xbox Series S. Rockstar’s platform and editions support page and Take-Two’s current release materials do not list a Windows version. There is no official PC preorder, system-requirements page, or confirmed Steam, Epic Games Store, or Rockstar Games Launcher listing in the cited announcements.

That means “not announced,” not “ruled out.” Rockstar has not said that a PC version will never exist, but neither it nor Take-Two has confirmed one. Dates such as 2027 or “a year after consoles” are estimates or speculation unless the companies announce them. A retailer placeholder, leak, social post, or insider claim is not the same as an official release announcement.
Why a PC version seems possible—but remains uncertain
Take-Two discusses supporting console, PC, and mobile audiences across its business. That broad strategy helps explain why players expect a PC version, but it is not a GTA VI-specific platform announcement. The game’s current official listings name consoles only. The prudent conclusion is that a future PC release is plausible, but its existence and timing remain unconfirmed.

Should PC players buy a console for GTA VI?
At present, a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S is the only officially confirmed way to plan for launch-day access. Whether to buy one depends on how much that access matters to you:

- Use a console you already own if it is a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Series S is included in the announced family, though its performance and visual settings may differ from Series X.
- Consider buying a console if playing on November 19, 2026 matters enough to justify the cost and you will use the system for other games too.
- Wait if you mainly play on PC, do not want a second platform, or value PC features such as graphics options, ultrawide support, mods, and community tools more than immediate access. There is no announced PC date, so the wait could be long or indefinite.
Do not buy a console edition on the assumption that it will later convert into a PC copy or provide a cross-buy upgrade. No such entitlement has been confirmed. Likewise, the current console announcement does not establish versions for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo platforms, or cloud gaming.

Preorders, prices, and bonuses
Rockstar and Take-Two announced console preorders beginning June 25, 2026. The announced US prices are $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. Those are console prices, not PC pricing. The official preorder announcement describes additional Ultimate Edition content and says qualifying purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack; digital preorders also include one free month of GTA+.
Check the Rockstar preorder details for eligibility and platform terms before buying. Prices, taxes, bonuses, and retailer policies can vary by region and may change. A console preorder is not a PC preorder and does not promise a later PC entitlement.
How to verify a genuine PC announcement
Look for a PC platform addition on Rockstar’s official GTA VI page, a Rockstar Newswire announcement, a Take-Two release schedule explicitly naming PC, or an official listing on a PC storefront. Official PC system requirements or a PC-specific technical announcement would also be strong confirmation. Treat a listing or date outside those channels as unconfirmed until Rockstar or Take-Two verifies it.
