The claim that GTA 6 Trailer 2 reached 60 million views in 18 hours is not substantiated by the official sources reviewed. Take-Two Interactive said the trailer drew more than 475 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours. That is a company-reported cross-platform total—not a YouTube-only count.
What is confirmed about Trailer 2’s views?
Rockstar Games released GTA VI Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025. In its announcement that day, Take-Two Interactive reported that the trailer had received more than 475 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours, calling it the biggest video launch ever at that time. The figure is Take-Two’s claim; it covers multiple platforms and a 24-hour window.

The official sources reviewed do not verify the separate “60 million views in 18 hours” figure for Trailer 2. Without a source establishing its platform scope and measurement window, it should not be treated as a confirmed count.
Why the 93-million figure is easy to confuse
YouTube reported more than 93 million views in 24 hours for the first GTA VI trailer, which debuted in December 2023. That was a YouTube-specific figure for Trailer 1, not Trailer 2. The distinction matters: one number is a platform-specific count for the first trailer, while Take-Two’s Trailer 2 figure is a cross-platform total.

Because the figures cover different trailers and scopes, they do not establish which trailer performed better on YouTube. The available announcements also do not provide a platform-by-platform breakdown or a consistent methodology for comparing the totals. They do not establish unique viewers, viewing time, or engagement.
