These are not permanent “free” copies: access depends on an active membership, the game staying in the library, and the platform or store tied to the subscription.
What games can I play with my GTA+ Membership?
Rockstar’s GTA+ store page lists the Trilogy collection alongside separate listings for Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition in the Games Library. Rockstar describes the library as a rotating assortment of its titles. The listings do not establish that three separate games were newly added at the same time, or confirm an announcement date for a new benefit.

“Free games” is shorthand for games included with a paid subscription while they remain available in the library. Membership does not amount to permanent ownership of a title.
How GTA+ library access works
- You need an active GTA+ membership to access the included library games.
- You can download and play a selected title while it remains in the library.
- Access is tied to the platform and store where you subscribed; available benefits can differ by device.
Rockstar’s GTA+ Subscription Service Terms, updated August 3, 2026, say subscriptions are available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S through their respective stores, and on PC through Steam, Microsoft Store or a Rockstar-operated store. The terms also note that compatible hardware, an internet connection and a linked Rockstar account may be required. Console access may require a separate paid subscription to the relevant platform service. Country availability and age restrictions can apply.

- ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK — Feel every moment through the DualSense controller, from directional damage to weather effects, rough road surfaces to explosions, and more.
- TEMPEST 3D AUDIO — Hear the sounds of the world with pinpoint precision: the throttle of a stolen supercar, the rattle of neighbouring gunfire, the roar of a helicopter overhead, and more.
- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
Console, PC and mobile access
Rockstar’s GTA+ benefits support page, last updated December 1, 2025, says console members access console titles on the platform where they subscribed. PC members access PC titles through Rockstar Games Launcher; Steam subscribers can also access them on Steam. Included iOS and Android games are available to PC, PlayStation and Xbox members, with console members linking their platform account to a Rockstar Games account for mobile access.
What happens when a game leaves the library?
Rockstar’s terms promise at least 30 days’ notice before a title is removed, through the GTA+ benefits page and/or Newswire. The support page says a departing title will be marked and/or announced. Once it leaves, GTA+ no longer provides access to it. Rockstar says saved progress can carry over if you buy the game, so continued access after removal requires owning the title separately.
