Twitch’s year-end figures, carried by 4Gamer on April 25, 2025, identify GTA V as the platform’s most-watched game title for calendar year 2024. Twitch reported more than 1.4 billion hours watched for the game. 4Gamer’s report of Twitch’s 2024 data also puts the platform’s gaming-content viewing above 15.6 billion hours for the year and its average monthly active viewers above 105 million. Those are Twitch-wide figures, not GTA V totals.
For a more precise third-party estimate, SullyGnome’s all-language annual archive records 1,439,460,481 hours watched for GTA V in 2024. What “most-watched game” means
The claim is about games, not every category on Twitch. In SullyGnome’s overall 2024 category ranking, Just Chatting—a non-game category—recorded 3,052,537,832 hours watched, more than twice GTA V’s listed total. The same archive puts League of Legends at 1,262,712,520 hours watched, below GTA V among game titles. These are SullyGnome estimates, not Twitch-published precise totals. The archive’s 2024 statistics distinguishes category totals from its game ranking.

Twitch’s 2025 release reporting 2024 data also lists more than 1.19 billion hours watched for League of Legends, more than 804 million for VALORANT, more than 539 million for Fortnite, more than 451 million for Call of Duty, and more than 379 million for Minecraft. Did GTA V stay on top after 2024?
No: GTA V’s distinction here is specifically its Twitch game-title ranking for calendar year 2024. Stream Hatchet’s 2026 report on 2025 rankings says League of Legends reclaimed the overall live-streaming lead after GTA V’s 2024 win.
