Originally revealed on July 22, 2024, Guilty Gear -Strive- Season Pass 4 made Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners the series’ first guest character. The announcement also included three Guilty Gear characters, two stages, color content and a separate 3v3 mode. As of October 8, 2026, Season 4 is historical: official pages promote Season 5 and version 2.00.
What was the Season Pass 4 crossover?
The surprise was Lucy (Lucyna Kushinada), the netrunner from the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, joining Guilty Gear -Strive-. CD PROJEKT RED and Arc System Works announced the collaboration on July 22, 2024, the final day of Evo 2024. Their announcement identified Lucy as the long-running fighting series’ first-ever guest character. A netrunner is a combat-ready hacker in the world of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. That franchise jump—not simply another character reveal—made the news unexpected. The announcement established Lucy’s identity and guest status, but did not provide enough gameplay detail to assess her moveset, balance impact or effect on the game’s competitive scene.
What did Season Pass 4 include?
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe’s July 22, 2024 announcement listed four additional characters, two battle stages and color content. Its stated release windows were a forward-looking schedule at the time, not confirmation of when each item ultimately became available.

What was TEAM OF 3?
TEAM OF 3 was a separate online versus mode announced alongside the pass, not a fifth Season Pass 4 character. It put six players into two teams of three, with players assigned Main or Assist roles. An Assist could support the Main player with actions and skills, and players could switch roles during a fight.

Bandai Namco announced an open beta for July 26–29, 2024, and said players would not need the base game to take part in that beta. Those dates and access details describe the 2024 beta plan; they do not establish present beta access or the mode’s current availability. Bandai Namco’s announcement
What changed later in Season 4?
In its later developer update, Arc System Works said the final Season 4 character, Lucy, ranked mode changes and balance adjustments were planned for an August update. The update also discussed renaming Rank Tower to Duel Tower, presenting Duel Tower as an entry point for players less comfortable facing random opponents. These were plans described in that update, not a current account of ranked mode or balance. Arc System Works’ 18th Developer’s Backyard

Is Season 4 still the current season?
No. As of October 8, 2026, the official Guilty Gear -Strive- site promotes Season 5 and version 2.00 and displays update entries from 2026. Arc System Works’ product page lists Robo-Ky as an individual DLC character or as part of Season Pass 5. Season Pass 4 is therefore best understood as the 2024 expansion that introduced the franchise’s first guest character, not as the latest season. For current character availability, platform compatibility, pricing or included content, check the official listing for the platform and edition you use; the 2024 announcement’s schedule does not answer those present-day questions.

How big was the game when Lucy was announced?
CD PROJEKT RED said Guilty Gear -Strive- had recently surpassed 3 million players globally at the time of its July 22, 2024 announcement. That is a dated, contemporaneous figure. The official site now displays “Over 3.5 million players worldwide,” but does not attach a publication year to that number, so it should not be treated as a dated milestone.
