Its launch release, dated November 15, 2024, lists island code 7089-7797-5952 and describes a team battle in which Zeon and the Earth Federation Forces race to power up their mobile suits. The announcement confirms the 2024 launch, but does not establish whether the island is still playable today.
Is Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance in Fortnite?
Yes. The Fortnite experience was made with Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) by Look North World using officially licensed assets. Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Look North World announced the collaboration at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, 2024, describing it as a free, team-deathmatch-style island connected to the Netflix anime Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.

The experience launched under the title GUNDAM: REQUIEM FOR VENGEANCE RED VS BLUE on November 15, 2024. Bandai Namco’s launch announcement said it was available worldwide on platforms supporting Fortnite at that time. That is a statement about launch availability, not confirmation of the island’s present status.

How Red vs Blue gameplay works
Choose a faction and collect reactor power
The launch description supports matches of up to 20 players, divided between Zeon and the Earth Federation Forces. Players collect MS Reactor Power from caches near their bases and across the terrain. The partnership announcement had described earning points and assists to charge a faction’s machine; the launch announcement specifies the reactor-power cache system.
Reach 200 power to activate a mobile suit
At 200 MS Reactor Power, a faction can activate its signature machine: the Earth Federation Forces’ Gundam EX or Zeon’s ZAKU II (Unidentified Type) Solari. The announcement describes weapon arsenals, tactical team combat, and a first-person cockpit view during mobile-suit action. It also says global leaderboards reset weekly.

The launch release mentions that leaderboard participants could be entered to win V-Bucks and Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Gunpla model kits. It does not name a particular kit or provide enough information to establish whether those prizes are currently offered.
How the Fortnite collaboration came about
Bandai Namco Entertainment America and Look North World announced the project on July 25, 2024, ahead of the anime’s release. The collaboration put the series’ opposing factions and mobile suits into a Fortnite Creative experience rather than announcing a standalone game. At the time, Bandai Namco’s announcement cited more than 300 million Fortnite players; that was the company’s audience claim in 2024, not a current player count.

In the launch announcement, Look North World founder and CEO Alex Seropian said: “The experience is available for free in Fortnite, where gamers already love to play. Choose your faction today, and we’ll see you on the scoreboard,”

The game announcement’s Gunpla prize reference is a category-level mention; it does not identify a specific model kit or connect a purchase to access or gameplay benefits. Separately, the official Gundam website announced a GUNDAM UNIVERSE ZAKU II (Unidentified Type) Solari action figure for a planned December 2024 release in Japan at ¥4,950 including tax. That dated Japanese notice does not establish present stock or availability in other regions.
