If a Gyre playlist restarts after reaching its end, that is expected loop behavior. A freeze, buffering, an early restart, or a short section repeating before the playlist ends is a different symptom: compare another video, playback device, and internet connection, then check the affected source file if the problem follows that video.
First, decide whether the repeat is normal
Gyre says a continuous-stream playlist starts again after it finishes. If the stream reaches the end of the playlist and then begins from the start, that is the loop working as intended—not, by itself, evidence of a fault. Gyre’s guide to streaming pre-recorded video and its homepage describe this behavior.
If playback freezes mid-video, buffers repeatedly, restarts before the playlist ends, or repeats only a short passage, continue with the checks below. The public Gyre material reviewed does not define a specific cause or error-code fix for those unexpected symptoms.
Find out whether the issue follows the video, player, or connection
Change one variable at a time where possible. These comparisons help narrow the fault area; none proves a cause on its own.

Refresh the playback app or device
If you are watching the stream in YouTube, use YouTube’s steps for the device you are actually using. Its official streaming and video troubleshooting page suggests reopening the browser or app, updating the app when a video remains stuck, and clearing the YouTube app cache for buffering or loading problems on mobile. For TV playback, YouTube also suggests reopening the app and restarting the device.
These are YouTube viewer-side suggestions, not a Gyre service reset procedure, and menu names vary by device and app version. If the same symptom occurs on a different player too, move on rather than assuming an app refresh will solve it.

Test the internet connection
YouTube recommends trying a different internet connection for buffering or loading trouble. For playback on a TV, its guidance also recommends checking connection speed near the television, router range, interference, and the number of other devices using the network. YouTube states that a minimum 7 Mbps connection speed is recommended for HD streaming on TV; this is YouTube’s TV guidance, not a Gyre-specific minimum or a guarantee that a stream will work.
If Wi-Fi is the suspected weak point and your playback device supports it, a wired connection can be a useful diagnostic comparison. It will not fix a malformed source file or a problem on Gyre’s service. Test connection and router placement before buying networking equipment.

If one video is affected, inspect and optimize its source file
Gyre says a mismatch between a source video’s codec, resolution, or bitrate and the destination platform’s requirements may cause lag or buffering. If the problem follows one file while other videos work, check that file’s encoding details and consider optimizing it with Gyre’s built-in converter.
- In Gyre, open the video converter and select the affected video for optimization. Gyre’s converter instructions describe the workflow.
- Choose the available frame-rate option appropriate for the file; Gyre documents choices of 30 or 60 fps.
- Run the conversion. Gyre says the converted file is saved in Storage beside the original.
- Keep the original file. Test the optimized copy in the stream before replacing or deleting anything.
Conversion is a troubleshooting option, not a guaranteed fix. If the same freeze or repeat remains, the cause may be elsewhere.

When the problem is still happening
The reviewed public Gyre material does not provide a complete symptom-by-symptom interruption procedure or an error-code lookup for unexpected short-segment repeats. If the comparisons above point to a Gyre-hosted stream, contact Gyre support through your account’s support channel. Include:
- The stream destination and approximate time of the problem, including timezone.
- Whether you saw a freeze, buffering, an early restart, or a short section repeating.
- Whether it affected one source file or every file you tried.
- The devices, players, and network connections you compared, and what changed.
- Whether the playlist had reached its end when the restart occurred.
Those details help describe and narrow the issue; Gyre’s public materials do not specify an official required ticket format.
