Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo find a bird in Heartopia, check its Birdwatching level, listed area, and weather before searching; an “all day” time listing does not cancel a weather requirement. For a better photo, use the Scanner’s zoom from a little over eight meters away, wait for a higher-rated pose, and center the bird. These distance and pose tips come from community guides, not official game specifications.
How to find a bird without wasting a sweep
- Check the Birdwatching level. The community reference below lists a level for each entry; use it as a lead, then confirm availability in your live Birdwatching Diary.
- Go to the listed area. Some area names are specific landmarks, such as Fishing Village Lighthouse or Forest Deer Tower, rather than a broad biome.
- Match the weather. If the listing requires rainbow, sunny, or rainy weather, wait for that condition even when the time column says “all day.” The guide says snow counts as wet weather for rain-preferring spawns, but this is community advice rather than official documentation.
- Check whether it is an event bird. Four entries below are associated with the Nest of Hundreds event and may not appear through ordinary exploration. Check the event window in-game before repeatedly searching a regular habitat.
- Scan from a distance. Use the Scanner to zoom rather than walking close. The cited guide recommends a little over eight meters as a rule of thumb; it warns that crowding can disrupt a bird’s behavior or make it leave.
Bird location and spawn-condition reference
This is a partial community reference transcribed from AllThings How, updated March 6, 2026. Its table shows 61 entries although the same page describes a 77-bird collection; other community publishers give different totals. Treat these rows as search leads, not a verified exhaustive or current in-game roster. “Any” and “all day” reproduce the guide’s reported conditions.

How to get a higher-rated bird photo
AllThings How’s pose guide assigns these ratings. A centered “Perfect Position” can add one star, so the guide’s described route to five stars is a four-star pose with centered framing.
| Pose or framing | Guide-reported rating |
|---|---|
| Chirping | 2 stars |
| Clean Feathers | 3 stars |
| Finding Food | 4 stars |
| Stretching Feathers | 4 stars |
| Perfect Position (bird centered) | Adds 1 star |
Keep your distance and use the Scanner’s zoom to frame the bird. The guide says the Bird Whistle and rainy weather can help trigger more pose changes. Heartopia.Life also recommends approaching slowly, waiting for an active pose, and checking the weather again after sweeping an area. These are community-guide tips, not official guarantees of a particular pose.

What to do when a bird does not appear
- Confirm your Birdwatching level against the listing.
- Return to the named area or landmark rather than searching only a broad map region.
- Check the weather condition again; a time marked “all day” does not make a weather-dependent bird available in every weather.
- For rain-preferring birds, the reference says snow may count as wet weather; verify the behavior in your game.
- Check whether the species is tied to Nest of Hundreds, then check the event window in-game.
- If a bird is present but idle, wait for a pose instead of moving closer.
The Heartopia.Life route offers additional search leads: Central Area for Eurasian Robin, Fishing Village Lighthouse for Double-Barred Finch, Lake for water birds, Flower Field for Pink-Necked Green Pigeon, and Onsen Mountain for Hawfinch. Its weather suggestions include rainy or rainbow checks for Eurasian Jay in Forest and Smew at Lake, and sunny or rainbow checks for Kingfisher at Lake. These differ from parts of the AllThings How list above, so use them as alternate leads rather than settled conditions.

After a successful scan, the AllThings How guide says an Info Card is created. Check the Birdwatching Diary in Collections to verify a new entry or a higher-star record; the in-game diary is a more useful progress check than an external list total.

These are publisher claims, not independently verified live-game statistics, so there is no dependable current total established by these references.
