Heineken’s Cool Down Controller is a branded gaming-session concept tied to Heineken 0.0. A campaign page from Heineken and reporting from HotHardware describe a controller that reacts to play and prompts a drink delivery, but the available evidence does not show that the device is sold at retail or that its delivery system operates for the public.
What Heineken actually announced
Heineken presented the Cool Down Controller through its Brazilian campaigns site. HotHardware reported that the concept was demonstrated at CCXP24 in Brazil in December 2024. Those sources establish a marketing activation, not a confirmed consumer hardware launch.
The drink featured in the concept is Heineken 0.0. The available material does not independently verify additional alcohol-content specifications beyond the product name used by the campaign.
How the controller is supposed to work
According to HotHardware’s report, sensors monitor button pressure and movement during play. When the system decides a refresh has been triggered, the controller’s lighting changes from green to red. The concept would then prompt a delivery service to send Heineken 0.0 to the player’s team.

That description is a reported premise, not a validated measurement system. No source establishes sensor thresholds or shows that the controller can measure fatigue, stress, hydration, or a player’s actual need for a drink.

Delivery and player locations
Heineken did not explain how delivery would work in practice. A team could be playing from one address or from several locations, and the sources do not say how the service would identify the correct destination for each player.

Why the idea is aimed at team play
The campaign frames a break as a shared reset rather than an individual reminder. In that framing, the green-to-red lighting is a visible team cue: stop, take a break, and return to the match together. It is advertising communication, not evidence of improved performance, health, or measured player wellbeing.
