Was Chapter 7 available immediately after Zero Hour?
No. Zero Hour finished Chapter 6, while Chapter 7 required Epic to take the game offline, deploy patch 39.00 and restart its services. The 3:30 a.m. CET time was a launch target rather than a guarantee that matchmaking would be available at that exact minute. Reports warned that maintenance could continue for several additional hours.

How to check the end time for a future Fortnite season
For later seasons, Epic says the current Battle Pass end date appears on the Battle Pass webpage and in the in-game Battle Pass tab. Treat that date as the latest published schedule, not an irrevocable promise: Epic notes that unforeseen factors can change seasonal dates.
- Open Fortnite’s official Battle Pass webpage, or launch Fortnite and open the Battle Pass tab.
- Read the displayed season end date.
- Check Epic’s official announcements for any event, maintenance or date-change notice before planning around the time.
Important date context
These Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 Season 1 times are historical. As of September 29, 2026, Fortnite’s current schedule was in Chapter 7 Season 4, so the times above are not a current countdown or an upcoming launch window.
