Hideo Kojima reportedly shared coverage of a fan-made Windows port of P.T., the delisted 2014 PlayStation 4 teaser. The project’s developer, LoreanXavier, describes it as a native C++ and Vulkan implementation—not an emulator, wrapper or remake—but it is still a work in progress with no release date announced.
What did Kojima acknowledge?
Contemporaneous coverage reported that Kojima shared an article about LoreanXavier’s project on social media. The original post was not independently available in the consulted coverage, so there is no verified Kojima quote or basis for calling the share praise, endorsement or approval. A reported share also does not establish permission to distribute the port or any of P.T.’s assets. The Double Kill reported the share on October 6, 2026.
How the native PC port is described
LoreanXavier says the project reverse-engineers the PS4 executable and rebuilds the game’s logic and rendering in C++ and Vulkan. It loads data files from the player’s own copy of P.T.; the project description says it does not supply game files. That makes this different in approach from running the original PS4 software through an emulator or recreating the experience in a separate game engine. These are the developer’s descriptions, not findings from independent testing.
In the project post, LoreanXavier wrote: “I’ve been working on a native Windows port of P.T. It isn’t an emulator, a wrapper, or a remake in another engine.” The developer posted the project description on Reddit on September 30, 2026.

What works, and what still needs work?
The developer says the current build runs from the first-boot options and preface through the ending, including the voice step. The project post also lists Lua script support, traps, cutscenes, character animation, original audio data, controller vibration, mouse and keyboard, contemporary controllers, arbitrary resolutions and frame rates above the original 30-fps cap. These capabilities are reported by the project creator. A separate technical summary also lists optional AMD FSR 3.1. Bloody Disgusting summarized the project on October 5, 2026.
The creator says some lighting and material differences remain in a few rooms, timing details still need work, and side-by-side checking is continuing. The port should therefore be understood as an in-progress effort, not a finished, verified PC release. An earlier completion percentage in secondary coverage is not an independently established measure of how complete or playable the project is.

- ADULT CARD GAME FOR GAME NIGHT - Don’t Get Stabbed! is an adult party game where you get to kill your family and friends! ... for pretend of course. It’s inspired by horror movies of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, but is light-hearted enough for everyone to enjoy. The ultimate Halloween game!

- HILARIOUS & REPLAYABLE- The average player will love this game for its gameplay! The horror fan will love the art on many of these cards which features classic horror movie tropes. There is tons of fun in playing this game and in its artwork.
- ADULT PARTY GAME – It may look cute, but like most horror movies it has topics you probably don’t want your children knowing about. For ages 18+.
- WHAT’S IN THE BOX?! – Included in the box are 64 Main Deck Cards and 13 Car Deck Cards printed on premium glossy playing cards (2.5 x 3.5 inches), for a grand total of 77 cards. Also included is one instruction booklet.
Is the port available, and what would players need?
No release date is given in the project post, and it does not establish that the port is currently available to download. The stated requirement to use data files from a player’s own copy also does not provide a way to obtain those files. P.T. was removed from the PlayStation Store after the cancellation of Silent Hills; no legitimate purchase route for the delisted demo is established here. The game’s history and storefront removal are summarized in the P.T. entry on Wikipedia.

P.T.—short for “Playable Teaser”—was released free on PS4 in 2014 as a teaser for Silent Hills, a planned entry in the series that was later cancelled. Its removal from the storefront has made access and preservation recurring concerns for fans. The Windows project is notable because its creator describes rebuilding the original game’s behavior and rendering around the player’s data files, rather than presenting a new-engine recreation as the original experience.
