Hitman: Absolution is available as a native iPhone, iPad and Android game. Feral Interactive released the mobile port on October 16, 2025, and its free Contracts Mode update followed on May 14, 2026. The US launch price was $14.99; check your local store for today’s price before buying.
What arrived on mobile
This is a mobile adaptation of the 2012 stealth-action game Hitman: Absolution, not a streaming release, Netflix game, or shortened spin-off. Feral Interactive handled the port, with IO Interactive credited for the original game. Its story campaign includes all 20 missions. That is the scope of the campaign, not a claim that every extra from every other edition is included.

The mobile release is separate from Feral’s Hitman: Blood Money — Reprisal port and from the puzzle game Hitman GO. It is also specifically Absolution, not the later World of Assassination trilogy. Feral first announced the port for autumn 2025 on July 31, 2025, confirmed the date on September 23, 2025, and released it on October 16, 2025.
What the mobile version includes
The campaign retains the series’ stealth-action mix: players can pursue quieter assassinations or take a more direct approach. The mobile feature set includes customizable touch controls, gamepad support, Instinct Mode, Point Shooting, Challenges and Purist mode. The Android listing also specifies keyboard-and-mouse support.

Instinct Mode helps reveal targets, enemy movement and points of interest. Purist mode is intended for players who want less assistance. Those options make the port more flexible, but they do not turn it into the open-ended sandbox design associated with the newer trilogy. Absolution is more cinematic and story-led, with guided sequences alongside opportunities to vary how you handle missions. Whether that balance suits you depends on what you want from a Hitman game.
Contracts Mode is now available
Contracts Mode was absent at launch, but it arrived as a free update for iOS and Android on May 14, 2026. Owners do not need to buy a separate expansion. Players can select up to three targets, set assassination conditions, create contracts from story environments, share them online and compete on cross-platform iOS and Android leaderboards. Feral describes the mode in its update announcement.
This is an asynchronous challenge system, not real-time co-op or conventional multiplayer. Publishing, downloading and leaderboard participation involve online functionality. The official information cited here does not establish whether the whole campaign can be played offline, whether an initial connection is required, or whether saves sync across platforms. Check Feral’s iOS support page or Android support page for platform-specific support details.
Check compatibility before buying
iPhone and iPad
The US App Store listing requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later and an A12 Bionic chip or later. Listed examples include iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, iPhone 11 and the second-generation iPhone SE, as well as the eighth-generation iPad, fifth-generation iPad mini, third-generation iPad Air and third-generation 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro families, plus newer models. The chip requirement alone is not enough if your device cannot run the required OS. Apple’s live App Store listing is the place to check the current supported-device details.

Android
Google Play currently lists Android 13 or later and 12 GB of free storage. Feral recommends having at least twice that amount available to avoid initial installation problems. Android 13 is necessary, but not sufficient: the chipset and device must also be supported. Check Feral’s verified Android device and chipset list before purchase. Feral says Google Play can rarely identify an unsupported device as compatible, so a store page that permits purchase is not a guarantee.
Storage and download size
Apple’s listing gives an app size of approximately 4.1 GB. That figure is not a universal storage requirement: download size, installed assets and temporary installation space can differ by platform. For Android, follow the 12 GB free-space requirement and Feral’s recommendation to leave substantially more room. Check the store listing again before installing, since sizes and requirements can change.

Touch controls are customizable and keep the game playable on a phone without extra hardware. Camera movement, aiming and contextual actions may feel less direct on a touchscreen than with a physical input device; that is a practical trade-off to consider, not a performance finding for every device. Feral supports gamepads, which may suit players seeking a more console-like control setup. Android also supports keyboard and mouse, a more natural fit for some tablet or desk setups than for a phone. Feral does not promise compatibility with every controller or peripheral model, so consult its iOS or Android support information for setup details.
The iOS version history records a prior fix for gamepad issues when a Magic Keyboard was connected. If you play on an iPad with both peripherals, install the latest version and check the current support guidance if input behaves unexpectedly. Feral’s iOS support page also flags battery use as a practical concern; avoid assuming battery life will be the same across devices or settings.

Price and whether it suits you
At launch, Feral listed prices of $14.99 in the United States, £9.99 in the United Kingdom and €12.49 in the Eurozone. Those are launch prices, not a guarantee of current pricing; regional prices, taxes and store listings can change. Check the App Store or Google Play listing in your territory before purchasing. The game is a premium purchase, not a free-to-play release, and Contracts Mode is included as a free update for owners.
- It may be a good fit if you want a paid, full 20-mission stealth-action campaign on mobile, your device is supported, and you are interested in Absolution’s story-focused approach. Contracts adds player-made challenges after the campaign.
- Consider skipping it if your device misses the OS, hardware or storage requirements, you do not want to use touch controls and lack a suitable gamepad, or you expect the broad, systemic sandbox structure of the modern trilogy.
- Do not buy it for real-time multiplayer. Contracts is an online, asynchronous challenge and leaderboard feature, not live co-op or head-to-head play.
For a separate Hitman experience, Blood Money — Reprisal is another Feral mobile port, while Hitman GO is a puzzle adaptation; neither is this 20-mission Absolution campaign. The Google Play listing identifies English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian and Turkish among its supported languages.
What changed after launch
The key addition is Contracts Mode. Apple’s version history lists it in version 1.3.1 dated May 14, 2026; the same history records earlier fixes, including corrections related to a gamepad used with a Magic Keyboard. Google Play’s listing was also updated on May 14, 2026. Check the relevant store listing for the latest version and change notes before installing.
