It said the move could be unveiled soon and described the five-player lineup as conditional.
What HLTV reported
HLTV reported, citing multiple sources, that nin9 had emerged as the leading candidate for The MongolZ’s remaining roster spot. The report did not establish that he had signed or joined the active lineup. HLTV’s October 1, 2026 report framed the move as a possibility, not an official announcement.
As of that report, The MongolZ had three active players after Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren “DarkMeister” Ireedui were benched in mid-September, following two months with the team. Two weeks later, tikuak parted ways with the organization and returned to Chinggis Warriors; HLTV’s transfer record dates that move to September 27, 2026. How the vacancy and trials took shape
Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar’s return to the starting lineup had been expected for several weeks. He had already played for The MongolZ at FISSURE Playground 3, replacing Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold. HLTV also reported that nin9, Maks “laxiee” Andryei, and academy player Bayarbat “M4k” Tugs-Erdene were among those trialed for the open place.

Projected lineup if nin9 joined
HLTV’s conditional five-player projection was:
- bLitz
- 910
- Techno
- cobrazera
- nin9
The report listed maaRaa as coach and DarkMeister as benched. This was a projected lineup dependent on the move being completed, not confirmation of the roster at that point.
Why nin9 was a notable candidate
nin9 had previously played for The MongolZ from May to August 2018. He was also part of IHC’s roster with Techno, bLitz, and coach maaRaa when it became the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Major in 2022.

HLTV’s nin9 player profile lists two Major appearances: the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers Stage with IHC and Stage 1 of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 with The Huns.

The report supports describing nin9 as a reported frontrunner and trial candidate. It does not establish that the team completed the transfer, nor does it provide enough role detail to assess his tactical fit. The materials reviewed also contain no attributable statement from a player, coach, or team official confirming the move. A confirmed roster claim requires an official announcement or later reliable reporting.
