Compare routes by five practical factors: whether the area is unlocked, estimated Rosaries and time per loop, combat difficulty, how close a bench is for resetting, and whether later act progression changes the enemies. The figures below come from guides rather than a controlled, same-player comparison, so use them as rough planning estimates.

Moss Grotto from Coral Clearing
Silksong.codes describes a Moss Grotto run starting at the Coral Clearing bench and estimates 80–120 Rosaries in 3–4 minutes. It is a reasonable early option when you want a short outing rather than traveling to a later region. The estimate is not a guaranteed return: missed drops, detours, and slower fights change the total.
Mosshome Outskirts
For another early option, start from the village bench and clear the Pilgrim-filled Mosshome corridor toward its gate, then return to reset. Silksong.codes estimates 100–150 Rosaries per 3–4 minute run. Nintendo Life also describes a Pilgrim corridor with a bench and gate, but its route reference is not identical, so use the in-game bench and corridor landmarks rather than assuming every guide starts from the same point.

Midgame: repeat the Greymoor Pilgrim loop
Once Halfway Home in Greymoor is available, this is a commonly recommended repeatable route. From the Halfway Home bench, exit to the right, defeat the Pilgrims along the corridor to the dead end, then return to the bench, rest, and repeat. Silksong.codes estimates 200–350 Rosaries over 4–5 minutes per run. Nintendo Life separately reports about 50 Rosaries in a 30-second sweep in a Greymoor corridor; that is a distinct guide estimate, not a second measurement of the full Halfway Home loop.
Later-game options
High Halls
Silksong.codes estimates 600–900 Rosaries for a 5–7 minute High Halls run. This is a guide-reported range, not a promised hourly rate or a controlled benchmark. Choose it only if you can clear the route reliably; a high nominal yield is less useful if repeated deaths or long recovery trips erase the advantage.

Colosseum trials
Silksong.codes estimates about 500 Rosaries for the first trial, 650 for the second, and 800 for the third. The later trials are more difficult, and the guide does not give a completion time for these estimates. Compare the payout with how consistently and quickly you finish rather than treating the largest figure as automatically best.
Songclave to the High Halls entrance
Nintendo Life identifies the Grand Reeds corridor between Songclave and the High Halls entrance as a valuable but dangerous option. It provides no controlled Rosary-per-run rate. Enemy patterns matter here, so this is a route to consider once you are comfortable fighting them, not a yield you can compare directly with the timed estimates above.

Act 3 changes which routes are worth repeating
Enemy populations can change as the game progresses. Nintendo Life reports that the Grand Reed corridor changes in Act 3 and that the enemies remaining there are less worthwhile for farming. In that act, it describes a Choral Chambers alternative: use the west-side bench, defeat the four void-consumed enemies, and collect an estimated 70–80 Rosaries before resetting nearby. That is a quick, lower-yield sweep, not a direct replacement for a full late-game route.

Know where Rosaries come from
Rosaries appear as loose or hanging strings, consumable string items, chest contents, statue drops, and drops from some enemies. PC Gamer lists these sources in its Rosaries guide. Enemy drops are not uniformly repeatable simply by leaving an area and re-entering it, so a farming plan should rely on a known loop and reset rather than assume every enemy respawns with the same payout.

Protect carried currency before a risky run
Carried Rosaries can be lost on death. Nintendo Life says death leaves a Silk Cocoon holding the dropped currency; dying again before reclaiming it loses those Rosaries. Rosary Strings store value in a protected form, but you must break them to spend the currency. The Hollow Knight Wiki’s Rosaries entry also describes strung Rosaries as protected from death until unstrung. If you have accumulated a useful amount, stringing it before entering a dangerous route reduces the risk of losing it.
Check the Magnetite Brooch price in your current game
Guides disagree about the Magnetite Brooch’s price: Silksong.codes lists 200 Rosaries at Bone Bottom, while PC Gamer lists 120 from Pebb. Because those published prices conflict, check the current in-game shop before farming toward a specific amount. The Brooch is described as helping collect rolling beads, but its exact value depends on the price you see and how much the pickup convenience helps your routes.

A Steam Community guide reports that Cogflies stopped healing on screen change after patch 1.0.28650, dated September 21, 2025. That is community patch reporting, not an official patch-note confirmation in the cited material. Because the method is version-sensitive, do not assume an older Cogfly setup still works in your current game without checking its behavior.
