Follow the Wereldtijdpad
The municipality describes the Wereldtijdpad as a 50 km route divided into nine walks of 4 to 10 km, marked with more than 2,000 year markers. Smidsbelt village center
Smidsbelt is identified by Visit Twente as the heart of Holten. Lunchrooms, restaurants, terraces, markets and events make it a practical place to pause before or after time outdoors. Municipal visitor information says free all-day parking is available at Groentransferium and P+N Dorp beside the NS station. It suggests P+N Berg for shorter visits to the Holterberg. Taking a dog
Rules depend on who manages the path. The municipality says dogs may be off leash under control on municipal public sand roads, while paths managed by other landowners generally require a leash. Follow posted signs and take particular care around sheep.
