Find Honedge in Wild Zone 4 at night in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Start your search in the zone’s southeast corner, then check along the main path. Throw a Poké Ball to catch it; if that does not work, try approaching from behind or battle to lower its HP. No Honedge-specific ball or mandatory battle requirement is established.
Where to find Honedge
Two guides place Honedge in Wild Zone 4 after nightfall. Both recommend the southeast area; All Things How also suggests sweeping the main path, while PowerPyx corroborates the zone and nighttime condition. Honedge is listed as Lumiose Pokédex #071 and is Steel/Ghost type.
If it is daytime
Advance time, then return to Wild Zone 4 at night. All Things How reports that time shifting unlocks after the fifth main story quest and three side missions for Emma. The guide says players can advance time by resting on a bench or sleeping at Hotel Z; it points to a bench outside the Pokémon Center north of Wild Zone 4. These are guide-reported progression details, not an official Honedge-specific requirement.
How to catch Honedge
- Locate Honedge at night. Search the southeast corner of Wild Zone 4, then sweep the main path.
- Try a Poké Ball. Nintendo’s general capture guidance is to aim and throw a Poké Ball.
- If needed, use stealth or battle. Pokémon that flee when they spot you may be approached from behind. You can also battle to lower Honedge’s HP, making it easier to catch.
The Pokémon Company’s official guidance says: “You can also battle Pokémon to lower their HP, making them easier to catch.” This is general advice, not a guarantee of a particular catch rate. No reviewed source establishes a Honedge-specific catch percentage, preferred ball, or requirement to battle it.
