What to pre-farm before Firefly arrives
Farm enemy drops whenever they are available
Start collecting Tatters of Thought, Fragments of Impression, and Shards of Desires early. They appear in both the ascension and trace lists, so excess lower-tier drops can be useful for synthesis. Do not stop at the 15-per-tier ascension quantities: the ability list needs an additional 36 Tatters, 52 Fragments, and 28 Shards.
Reserve Trailblaze Power for trace Calyx stages
HoYoWiki identifies Calyx (Crimson) as the activity category that awards Trace Materials. Firefly’s trace family is Borisin Teeth, Lupitoxin Sawteeth, and Moon Rage Fang. Open the Interastral Guide, select the relevant Calyx (Crimson) stage, and confirm the displayed drops before spending power. The retrieved material references do not establish a permanent Firefly-specific stage path or a reliable number of runs, so do not budget power from a generic run estimate.

Collect weekly and limited materials on their normal schedules
- Claim Lost Echo of the Shared Wish from its weekly-boss activity as soon as your account can access it.
- Take Tracks of Destiny from the limited sources offered by the game; they are not a normal repeatable Calyx drop.
- Keep Credits available for the separate 308,000-credit ascension bill and 2,610,000-credit ability bill.
How stage access affects pre-farming
Normal progression determines which Calyx (Crimson) and Stagnant Shadow stages your account can enter. During an active event Warp, HoYoWiki documents temporary early access to the corresponding Calyx (Crimson) or Stagnant Shadow stages for materials needed by the featured limited five-star character, even when those stages are not yet unlocked through ordinary progression.
That access is conditional, not permanent. Check the event banner period and your Interastral Guide in the current game version; an expired Warp or a different account state can remove the shortcut. The guide does not establish one permanent route that every player can use.
A practical farming order
- Check the in-game material screen. Confirm Firefly’s current totals and which stages your account can enter.
- Secure ascension bottlenecks. Farm Raging Heart through the displayed Stagnant Shadow stage and gather the three enemy-drop tiers.
- Farm Borisin Teeth materials. Spend power in the currently available Calyx (Crimson) stage and use synthesis for tier conversion when needed.
- Use weekly attempts. Prioritize Lost Echo of the Shared Wish each reset rather than waiting until Firefly is obtained.
- Build a Credit reserve. Keep at least the listed ascension and ability amounts separate from Light Cone and other character expenses.
- Recheck immediately before upgrading. Event access, stage availability, and requirements can change with a version update.
What this checklist does not include
- Light Cone ascension or superimposition materials.
- Relic, planar ornament, or character-level EXP requirements.
- A guaranteed number of Calyx waves, runs, or Trailblaze Power, because yields vary by stage and the available evidence does not provide a verifiable Firefly-specific budget.
