A May 2026 report says an unnamed popular Honkai: Star Rail character may receive a 5-star version, but it does not identify the character or provide evidence that confirms the claim. Treat it as an unverified rumor—not a reason to change your pulls yet.
What the May 2026 report actually says
Position is Everything’s May 15, 2026 article describes a possible 5-star version of a “popular character,” but gives no name or uniquely identifying details. It also does not name the original leak source, identify a patch, or show a verifiable announcement, patch note, banner page, or in-game evidence for a specific character.
That leaves the headline’s central question unanswered: readers cannot tell which character the rumor concerns from the report alone. It does not establish a character’s future release, kit, role, or banner timing.
Is the leak confirmed?
No confirmation is presented in the report. Its verification advice—checking whether patch timing fits official announcements, looking for consistent names and UI details, and seeking in-game evidence rather than trusting screenshots alone—is general guidance, not proof that this rumor has passed those checks.

Until then, screenshots or repeated claims without an identifiable source do not resolve the missing identity or confirm the rumor.
Does this refer to the older Herta rumor?
Not on the evidence available. A separate Juxia report published September 11, 2024 discussed speculation about a possible 5-star Herta. That earlier story does not identify the unnamed character in the May 2026 report; treating them as the same rumor would be an unsupported assumption.

Should you change your pulls?
The report does not provide enough information to make a character-specific pull decision. It names neither the character nor a patch or banner, so it cannot support a recommendation to save for a particular unit or spend a specific amount of Stellar Jade. Base pull choices on your roster and priorities, and revisit them if an official notice supplies concrete details.
