For the current Version 4.6 guide snapshot, build Mydei around HP and CRIT, pair him with Scholar Lost in Erudition and Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne, and use Flame of Blood, Blaze My Path if you own it. Sunday and Tribbie are strong general supports, while a reliable healer helps manage the HP Mydei spends to power his damage. These are specialist-guide recommendations, not official HoYoverse rankings; HSR Build’s Version 4.6 page was updated September 26, 2026, and says its rankings and stat priorities are derived from Prydwen’s guide (HSR Build; Prydwen).
How Mydei’s kit shapes his build
Mydei is a five-star Imaginary Destruction main DPS whose damage scales with Max HP rather than ATK. His ordinary Skill consumes his own HP; that loss builds Charge and moves him toward Vendetta, which advances his actions and leads to powerful Enhanced Skills. Vendetta also increases his Max HP and makes some attacks automatic, so turn timing and sustain matter as much as a static stat sheet.
His Ultimate restores HP and adds Charge. That makes its timing part of the damage cycle, not simply a button to use whenever available. A fixed rotation is not ideal for every team: watch his Charge, remaining HP, enemy state, and support action advances.

Guide damage comparisons are not universal outcomes: they use different Superimposition levels and assumptions. For example, Prydwen’s displayed comparison uses S1 for The Unreachable Side and S5 for A Secret Vow, Ninja Record: Sound Hunt, and Flames Afar; it also assumes 50% uptime on A Secret Vow’s low-HP bonus and 66% on Flames Afar’s effect. Treat those rankings as a guide to relative options under those conditions, not a promise of damage in your own team. Check current banner and store availability in-game, since acquisition routes can change (Prydwen’s Mydei guide; Icy Veins’ Mydei guide).
Best Relics and Planar Ornaments
Relic set: Scholar Lost in Erudition
Four pieces of Scholar Lost in Erudition are the general recommendation. The set supports Skill and Ultimate damage. When possible, use Mydei’s Ultimate just before Godslayer Be God so the next-Skill effect benefits the Enhanced Skill.
Relic fallback: Longevous Disciple
Four-piece Longevous Disciple is a sound fallback, particularly if you already have substantially better pieces for it. The practical difference between a recommended set and a fallback can be outweighed by the quality of your actual substats.

Planar Ornament: Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne
Bone Collection’s Serene Demesne is the leading planar choice. Rutilant Arena is workable, but compare its CRIT Rate with Mydei’s kit and team buffs: extra CRIT Rate can be wasted if it pushes him beyond a useful in-combat level (Prydwen; HSR Build).

Build HP and CRIT, not ATK. Specialist guides agree on most slots but differ on the body and feet, so choose by the piece quality and your team’s speed plan rather than following a single rigid prescription.

Prydwen’s guide uses about 8,000 HP, 90–100% in-combat CRIT Rate, 160% or more CRIT DMG, and either base Speed or 134+ Speed as guide targets. They are not hard requirements: actual value depends on buffs, relic substats, encounter, and whether a support advances Mydei. Avoid stacking CRIT Rate past what his kit and teammates can use. Best Mydei teams and support choices
General core: Mydei, Sunday, Tribbie, sustain
Sunday advances Mydei and supports more frequent actions and Ultimates. For an immediate re-advance setup, Prydwen suggests 135 Speed on Mydei and 134 on Sunday; use this as a tuned setup rather than a universal speed requirement. Tribbie brings damage amplification, including damage-taken and resistance-penetration effects. Fill the remaining slot with a healer or other sustain suited to the content.

Cyrene interaction team
Cyrene has a specific interaction with Godslayer Be God: her Ultimate can trigger it and increase its CRIT DMG. To make this plan work reliably, Prydwen recommends another Chrysos Heir, such as Hyacine or Remembrance Trailblazer, to help charge Cyrene’s Ultimate. This team is most compelling when you can support that Ultimate cycle rather than merely slotting Cyrene in.

Huohuo, Gallagher, and Luocha are healer options discussed in Prydwen’s guide. Huohuo can contribute energy and healing; stronger healing can also support Mydei’s repeated HP spending. Consider the actual value of a healer’s buffs: ATK buffs do little for an HP-scaling damage dealer. If Sunday or Tribbie is unavailable, Sparkle and Remembrance Trailblazer are alternatives to consider, depending on your roster and encounter (Prydwen; Icy Veins).

How to adapt the build to your account
- No signature Light Cone: compare your owned options and their Superimpositions; Ninja Record: Sound Hunt is an option only if you obtained it.
- Excellent off-set relics: favor real HP/CRIT substats over forcing a set bonus with weak pieces.
- Using an action-advance support: tune Mydei’s Speed to the specific support plan; do not copy a speed target without matching the support’s Speed.
- Running Cyrene: make sure the team can charge her Ultimate consistently enough to use the Godslayer Be God interaction.
- Facing difficult content: prioritize dependable healing and survivability if Mydei’s HP spending leaves him vulnerable.
- Encounter demands: account for whether enemies are single-target or multiple targets when choosing supports and deciding how to pace his enhanced turns.
The available detailed Prydwen build page says its last update was May 31, 2026, and its last major build/calculation update was Version 3.1; the newer dated HSR Build page is Version 4.6 but attributes its rankings to Prydwen. Icy Veins provides an additional build and kit reference, though its date is not visible on the page excerpt. Specialist recommendations can change with patches, so use the current in-game kit, roster, and item availability when making a final setup (HSR Build; Prydwen; Icy Veins).
