The leaked “new Tingyun” details point to Fugue, Tingyun’s later playable form: HoYoverse officially identifies her as a Fire character on the Path of Nihility. She arrived with Version 2.7, which HoYoverse announced for December 4, 2024. That official confirmation settles Fugue’s Path, element and update timing—but it does not validate every detail circulated in earlier leaks.
What Path is Tingyun’s new form?
Fugue follows the Path of Nihility and has the Fire element. HoYoverse stated both in its official Version 2.7 announcement, which introduced Fugue as Tingyun’s familiar friend in a new playable form. Read HoYoverse’s Version 2.7 announcement.
The classification was reiterated in HoYoverse’s Version 3.0 update notes, which list her as “Fugue (Nihility: Fire).” See the Version 3.0 update notes.
When did Fugue release?
HoYoverse announced that Version 2.7 would release on December 4, 2024. The announcement was published on December 3 and is an official Japanese-language regional notice. It establishes the update date and Fugue’s introduction in that update, but not a separate, exact opening time for her individual character banner.
What was leaked, and what was actually confirmed?
Early community discussion framed the story as Tingyun’s return. A fan-run HoYoLAB post from the Version 2.7 period, for example, used the phrase “Tingyun has Returned!!” That is community framing, not an official verification of the exact claims made in any leak. See the community post.

Is this a current Tingyun release-date leak?
No. This is a historical story about Fugue’s release in Version 2.7, not evidence of a future Tingyun release date. HoYoverse’s Version 4.6 notice gives that update a September 28, 2026 launch and an end time of November 11, 2026 at 06:00 UTC+8. Those dates describe Version 4.6, not a new Tingyun release. Check HoYoverse’s Version 4.6 notice.
