Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7 introduced two new five-star characters: Sunday and Fugue. Sunday is a Harmony support focused on advancing an ally’s action and restoring Energy; Fugue is a Fire Nihility support built around Toughness reduction and Break or Super Break damage. HoYoverse announced the update for release on December 4, 2024.
Who is on the Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 banner?
The two new five-star characters highlighted for Version 2.7 were Sunday and Fugue. HoYoverse’s official update details identify Sunday as a Harmony character and Fugue as a Fire Nihility character. Both are described as supports, but they help a team in different ways.
Sunday: Harmony support
HoYoverse describes Sunday as a character who lets an ally and that ally’s summon act immediately, while also restoring an ally’s Energy. The update notice’s wording is specific to his support mechanics; it is not an independent assessment of how effective he is in every team. His featured five-star Light Cone was A Grounded Ascent.
Fugue: Fire Nihility support
Fugue’s official description centers on Toughness reduction regardless of an enemy’s Weakness Type and helping the team trigger Break or Super Break damage more often. Her featured five-star Light Cone was Long Road Leads Home.

The update notice identifies Sunday and Fugue and names their associated featured Light Cones. The source details available here do not establish every rerun or four-star lineup, nor all phase-change timestamps. Those specifics should not be inferred from the character announcements alone. The official descriptions also do not provide a basis for calling either character the most anticipated, assigning a tier ranking, or making account-specific pull recommendations.
