The count is 36 in Eternal Holy City Okhema, 26 in Strife Ruins Castrum Kremnos, 2 in Vortex of Genesis, 20 in Abyss of Fate Janusopolis, and 29 in Bloodbathed Battlefront Castrum Kremnos. It counts map treasure chests only—not puzzle rewards or other reward containers. Beebom’s location guide provides map images for finding individual chests.
How many treasure chests are in each Amphoreus area?
This is a Version 3.0 count, not a current total for every Amphoreus area added in later updates. HoYoverse announced Version 3.0 as the update that brought players to Amphoreus; the 113-chest tally below is Beebom’s count, not a figure attributed to HoYoverse. HoYoverse’s Version 3.0 announcement establishes the update context.
| Version 3.0 area | Map treasure chests | Collection note |
|---|---|---|
| Eternal Holy City Okhema | 36 | Includes chests in public baths and the Chrysos Heirs’ bath area; use the elevator to reach the upper bath. |
| Strife Ruins Castrum Kremnos | 26 | Some chests are puzzle-gated or require the Hand of Zagreus. |
| Vortex of Genesis | 2 | The guide lists two map treasures. |
| Abyss of Fate Janusopolis | 20 | Some chests are tied to Dawn or Evernight; the guide also flags puzzle gating, including Talanton’s Scale. |
| Bloodbathed Battlefront Castrum Kremnos | 29 | The first four listed treasures require the “I Was Once in Arcadia” mission; check the relevant past/present cycle. |
| Total | 113 | Beebom guide tally, updated January 15, 2025. |
Where to find the chest locations
Use the location and map images in Beebom’s Amphoreus chest guide as the point-by-point reference. Its images show the positions more precisely than a text-only route can; not every marker has a corresponding coordinate in the guide text. Select the correct area and floor or map segment before following a marker, especially in Okhema and other spaces that span multiple sections.
Check the area state and access requirements
Janusopolis: Dawn or Evernight
Some Janusopolis chests appear only in Dawn or Evernight. Match the state shown with the chest’s corresponding map image before traveling; a marker for the other state will not help locate a chest in your current one.

Other gates and special mechanics
Across the areas, access can depend on a mission, puzzle, repaired bridge, purification, or the Hand of Zagreus. For Strife Ruins Castrum Kremnos, the guide’s landmarks include below the first repaired broken bridge, near the Garmentmaker Outpost, near the Kremnos Arena, and a chest reached with the Hand of Zagreus. In Okhema, take the elevator to reach the upper Chrysos Heirs’ bath.

What to do if a chest is missing
- Confirm that you selected the right area and floor or map segment for the marker.
- In Janusopolis and Bloodbathed Battlefront, compare the chest image with your current Dawn/Evernight or past/present state.
- Check whether the relevant mission is complete and whether the chest’s puzzle or access mechanic—such as a repaired bridge, purification, or the Hand of Zagreus—has been handled.
- Cross-check the location on HoYoLAB’s official Honkai: Star Rail Map. HoYoverse describes it as a way to locate treasure and other exploration points and select a destination. The live map may change over time.
