How the tournament format works
Challenge Stage: group play and qualification
The 12 qualified teams are split between Masters and Elite groups. They play cross-group single round robins in best-of-five series, with each group ranked separately. The top four Masters teams and the top Elite team qualify directly for Knockouts. Masters teams in fifth and sixth place and Elite teams in second through fifth place go to Breakout. The lowest-ranked Elite team is eliminated.
Breakout Stage: six teams, three places
Breakout is a six-team single-elimination stage running October 20–22. Its three winners complete the eight-team Knockout field alongside the five direct qualifiers.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who could win? What the early evidence supports
Chengdu AG Super Play enters as defending champion, but its October 2 loss to Nantong Hero is one match, not a reliable measure of its tournament prospects. Qualification was based on annual points from Spring, the Challenger Cup, and Summer. The six highest point earners were assigned to Masters, with the next six in Elite; that seeding describes the qualification route, not a definitive ranking of current strength.

At this early point, a responsible prediction is provisional rather than a confident champion pick. There are only three completed opening-day results in the listing, and the available information does not provide comparable current-form data for all teams or a sound basis for numerical title odds. As the event progresses, use these indicators to update a forecast:
Quick Recap
- Current group position and recent series results, rather than a single match.
- Masters or Elite placement and the team’s route into Breakout or Knockouts.
- Performance in later best-of-seven Knockout series, which tests teams in a different format from the opening best-of-five group matches.
