Guerrilla Games has said Aloy will have another adventure, but it has not officially announced a game called Horizon 3 or given a release date or platform for it. A separate report in August 2026 said the next single-player game was years from completion; that is not an official launch schedule.
What Guerrilla actually teased
In a studio-management message published on 24 April 2023, Guerrilla said it was “expanding the world of Horizon with Aloy’s next adventure and our exciting online project.” The wording confirms plans for another adventure featuring Aloy, but the message did not call it Horizon 3, explicitly identify it as a numbered sequel, or reveal a platform or release date. Read Guerrilla’s message.
When is Horizon 3 coming out?
There is no announced release date or launch window. On 19 August 2026, Push Square reported, citing Bloomberg and journalist Jason Schreier, that a “tiny team” at Guerrilla was working on Aloy’s next adventure and that it was “years away from completion.” That is attributed reporting, not a date or schedule confirmed by Guerrilla. Push Square’s suggestion that the game may arrive in 2030 or later is the outlet’s projection, not an official window. Read the report.
Other announced Horizon games are separate projects
Two other announced games help explain why a new Horizon announcement can be easy to misread. Neither has been identified as Aloy’s next mainline adventure.
