Which South Park episode has ARC Raiders?
ARC Raiders appears in “Turkey Trot,” an episode of South Park season 28. PC Gamer reported that Tolkien is shown playing the game. It is a brief gameplay cameo, not evidence of a larger crossover.
How did ARC Raiders end up in South Park?
Embark Studios marketing lead Ashley St. Germain described an unusually fast handoff in a statement quoted by PC Gamer on November 29, 2025: “On Monday South Park inquired if a character could play Arc Raiders in an upcoming episode, on Tuesday we provided footage, and on Wednesday we were in season 28’s ‘Turkey Trot’ episode.”
That account describes a request, a footage delivery, and the episode’s appearance across three consecutive days. The report does not say that Embark and the show had a formal marketing partnership, that the placement was paid, or that merchandise was part of the arrangement.

How popular was ARC Raiders when the cameo was reported?
The timing made the appearance a neat pop-culture footnote to the game’s breakout: ARC Raiders had reached substantial reported sales and concurrent-player milestones. Those figures are dated announcements, not current October 2026 totals, and concurrent players are not the same as unique players.

ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter. Players deploy into a map, scavenge for resources, and try to escape, facing both other raiders and hostile autonomous robots. The setting is a post-apocalyptic Italy: Speranza is an underground hub, while the Rust Belt is the dangerous surface, as described in the Unreal Engine feature.
The game mixes player-versus-environment threats with the risk of player-versus-player encounters. In a February 19, 2026 PC Gamer interview, Embark design director Virgil Watkins said players are not required to fight one another and that the team was trying to accommodate both peaceful and PvP-oriented play. That was his description at the time of the interview, not a guarantee about future matchmaking or game modes.
