How combos and awakening affect the battle
Combos can damage multiple konpaku
Once an opponent has taken damage, key combos can destroy multiple konpaku, according to the publisher’s gameplay overview published July 24, 2024. In practical terms, combos are more than a way to extend an attack: they can make a successful opening count for more against the opponent’s health.
Attacking builds Fighting Spirit
Attacking accumulates Fighting Spirit. When enough has been built to enter the awakened state, the character can unleash a special move. Bandai Namco frames awakening as a potential reversal when a fighter is in a desperate situation; its description does not establish a specific threshold, duration, or comeback rate.

Why character choice matters
The publisher says characters have unique sword abilities, so the same combat loop is expressed through different character-specific moves. Its gameplay overview names Ichigo, Rukia, Uryu, and Chad among the examples. That supports a distinction in abilities, but official descriptions alone do not establish how those differences affect competitive balance or how difficult each character is to use.
Game scope and platforms
Bandai Namco announced the game’s launch for March 21, 2025, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Its official game page lists local multiplayer for one to two players and online multiplayer for one to two players. Those listings do not establish cross-play, platform-specific performance, or the current availability of online services.
