Short answer: The current PUBG MOBILE VN listing recommends Android 5.1.1 or later and at least 2 GB of RAM. That is guidance for the Vietnam regional version—not a confirmed universal requirement or a promise of smooth play. The current US App Store listing gives iOS compatibility as iOS 13.0 or later and an Apple A8 chip or newer, but does not specify RAM.
What RAM does PUBG Mobile require on Android?
The PUBG MOBILE VN listing from VNG Group JSC, updated on August 26, 2026, states: “Recommended configuration for the best experience: Android 5.1.1 or later and at least 2GB of RAM.” See the PUBG MOBILE VN listing.
This is the clearest current Android RAM figure identified, but it applies to that regional app listing. The current global Android requirement could not be verified from the surfaced official pages; the global PUBG MOBILE news index showed version 4.7 Beta Test 1 dated September 23, 2026, and version 4.6 dated September 7, 2026, without stating an Android RAM requirement. Check PUBG MOBILE’s news index.
So, if you are asking whether PUBG Mobile can run on a 2 GB Android phone, the VN listing sets 2 GB as its stated configuration floor. It does not confirm that all regional versions accept the same specification, or that a 2 GB device will run the game smoothly.

Does 2 GB of RAM guarantee smooth gameplay?
No. The listing gives configuration guidance, not a performance test. It does not promise a frame rate, smoothness, or access to a particular graphics setting at 2 GB. The available sources do not compare gameplay across RAM amounts or establish how much RAM is ideal.
RAM is only one part of deciding whether a specific phone is suitable. Before buying or upgrading, check the exact handset’s supported operating system and chipset, available memory, storage headroom, and the graphics and frame-rate options it supports in-game. The cited listings do not provide model-by-model results or enough evidence to rank phones.

What are the iPhone and iPad requirements?
The current US App Store listing specifies iOS 13.0 or later and an Apple A8 chip or newer. It does not state a RAM amount, so the Android figure should not be treated as an iPhone requirement. Check the US App Store listing and consult the current listing for your market and device.
Compatibility can change with game versions. A PUBG MOBILE Japan notice in 2024 said devices running iOS 10 or earlier would no longer be able to download or update the game after version 3.2.0. That dated notice illustrates why a current store listing is a better guide to present-day support than an old compatibility announcement. Read the Japan support notice.

How to check whether your device is compatible
- Open the official PUBG MOBILE listing for your country in the relevant app store.
- Compare the listing’s operating-system and hardware requirements with your exact phone or tablet—not just its advertised RAM.
- Check that the device has enough free storage for the app and its updates; the cited listings do not establish a specific storage requirement here.
- If the app is available to install, check the graphics and frame-rate options offered on your device rather than assuming a RAM figure guarantees a particular setting or experience.
Do PUBG PC’s RAM numbers apply to PUBG Mobile?
No. PUBG Support’s figures of 8 GB minimum RAM and 16 GB recommended RAM are for the Windows PC version, whose requirements also list desktop processors, graphics cards, DirectX, and PC storage. They do not answer the mobile compatibility question. See PUBG Support’s PC requirements.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you buy a phone with 2 GB of RAM for PUBG Mobile?
Do not use the VN listing’s 2 GB figure as a phone-buying recommendation. It is regional configuration guidance, not a tested performance target. Consider an upgrade if your current device is incompatible or unsuitable for your needs, and verify the current regional app listing alongside the handset’s supported OS, chipset, available RAM, storage, and in-game options before choosing.
