A failed tour sends you back to regroup and start again, while certain perks and unlocks carry over. The game is announced for release on October 6, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; that is a future release date, not confirmation that the game is already available.
How the campaign run works
The campaign uses a runs-based structure rather than a single uninterrupted championship. You choose events as you progress through the Galactic League, and those choices shape your route toward becoming a champion. Each tour is a try at making it through that path: too many crashes end the tour, after which you regroup, rebuild, and begin another run with new choices.
Fuse Games co-founder Matt Webster described the intended decisions to StarWars.com as consequential choices about the starting vehicle, upgrades, and selected events. That makes route planning part of progression, not just a way to pick the next race.
What carries over after a failed tour
The official story announcement says certain perks and unlocks earned on earlier attempts carry into the next run. It does not specify a complete carryover inventory or say that all upgrades, currency, or equipment persist. Treat each restart as a fresh set of decisions with some continuing progression, rather than assuming your entire build survives.

How Hibi’s workshop fits in
Hibi, the mechanic, runs a workshop in each planet’s paddock. You can fit parts earned during runs or bought from Hibi; the parts offer stat boosts and abilities intended to support different racing styles. The announcement does not list prices, a complete inventory, or numeric stat effects, so there is not yet enough published detail to compare specific builds mathematically.
How the vehicle classes differ
Official materials identify four classes—landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers—with distinct handling and capabilities. Some events mix classes on the same track, so their different racing lines can bring them into physical contact. The official game feature page and gameplay announcement name Sentinel One, Jakku, Ando Prime, and Lantaana among the locations shown; these are revealed locations, not a confirmed complete track list.

The handling descriptions combine official class characterizations with a preview writer’s observations. Xbox Wire says its writer spent about an hour with campaign and Arcade play; its impressions are not instrumented measurements or a definitive ranking of the classes.
Boosts and risk
In that June 23, 2026 Xbox Wire hands-on preview, the writer describes an Afterburner that provides a brief boost and recharges, and a higher-risk Ramjet boost that can overheat. The available account does not give numeric boost duration, recharge time, or overheating thresholds, so use these as qualitative descriptions rather than fixed performance figures.

Which modes are announced
Official materials list Campaign, Scenario, and Arcade modes, alongside competitive multiplayer. The story-trailer announcement also refers to multiplayer podracing beyond the Mos Espa Circuit. Public descriptions do not provide a full ruleset for each mode or establish whether unlocks and progression carry between them.

Choose based on whether the extra vehicles and Arcade events interest you, and whether physical collectibles matter. The announced contents establish what is included, but do not show that Deluxe vehicles are necessary for competitive success.
