You currently cannot rely on Skrill for new Streamlabs tips. Streamlabs announced that it paused Skrill and paysafecard tipping effective March 6, 2023. Its latest located notice, updated September 5, 2025, still describes the pause and gives no restoration date. Check your Streamlabs dashboard or ask Streamlabs Support whether Skrill has returned for your account; if you need to accept tips now, use a payment option currently offered to you, such as PayPal or card where eligible.
Is Skrill still supported on Streamlabs?
Streamlabs’ support notice, bylined Kevin and updated September 5, 2025, says: “On Mar 6, 2023, we will be pausing support for Skrill and Paysafecard as tip payment methods while Skrill works to resolve some technical issues.” The notice said creators would not receive new Skrill tips after that date, though tips sent before then could still be withdrawn. It does not give a date for restoring Skrill. Read Streamlabs’ pause notice.
That is the latest located status, not confirmation of what appears in every creator’s account today. Payment methods can vary with account and location, so check the live dashboard or contact Streamlabs Support before relying on Skrill.
Why an older Skrill setup guide is not enough
Streamlabs also has a Skrill-specific help article, first published August 31, 2016 and last updated April 25, 2025. It describes creating a Skrill account and connecting it to Streamlabs, and says only a subset of Skrill payment methods was supported. It also describes withdrawing Skrill funds through a Withdraw button under Skrill in Tip Settings. Those are historical instructions; the separate pause notice supersedes them for accepting new Skrill tips. See the Skrill help article, with that limitation in mind.

How to set up a tip method Streamlabs currently offers
Streamlabs’ general flow is to connect a payment method in the dashboard, configure the tip page, then share that page with supporters. Dashboard labels and available processors may change; confirm the options shown in your account.
- Open the Streamlabs dashboard. Go to Tipping, then Tip Methods, and select a processor available to your account.
- Complete the processor connection. Follow the on-screen prompts and ensure the linked account or email is the one where you expect to receive funds.
- Configure the tip page. Set the available page options, such as minimum or recommended tip, display currency, and any custom message or image.
- Share the tip-page link. Put it where viewers can find it, such as your channel panels or stream description, and check that it opens correctly for your audience.
Streamlabs’ overview says it does not take a cut of tips, but payment processors may charge their own fees. Availability and terms depend on the processor, the creator’s account, and the supporter’s region. Review Streamlabs’ tipping overview.

PayPal and card options: what to check
PayPal
Streamlabs’ PayPal guidance says to link the correct PayPal email in donation settings. Its tip page can support one-time and monthly recurring contributions. Confirm the exact options and eligibility in your account; PayPal availability and any applicable charges are not universal. See Streamlabs’ PayPal tipping FAQ.
Credit-card tipping
Streamlabs’ Stripe FAQ describes card tipping for creators with a checking account in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The listed coverage and fees may change, so check the current FAQ and your dashboard.

The FAQ lists a standard processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 USD, while noting that fees vary by streamer and donor country; it says Streamlabs takes no fee on card tips. It also says creators must be at least 18, need a checking account, and may have to provide identity details for processor verification. Check Streamlabs’ Stripe FAQ for current eligibility and terms.

The figures below are from Streamlabs’ Skrill article as updated in 2025. They are historical published details, not current offers or proof that Skrill tipping is available now. Do not use them to estimate a new tip unless Skrill reappears in your account and the current terms confirm the charges.

- Check that the method appears in your dashboard and is supported for your country.
- Verify where payouts go, what bank or payment account is required, and whether identity checks apply.
- Review the processor’s current transaction, currency-conversion, withdrawal, and settlement terms.
- Consider whether viewers can use the method in their own region and whether it supports one-time or recurring tips.
