What “11 guests” means in Collab Cam
Streamlabs’ product page describes Ultra as supporting up to 11 additional guests or camera angles, while Streamlabs’ group-streaming article refers to all 12 available Collab Cam slots. The safest reading is that 11 is the number beyond the initial slot—not 11 total people including the host. Check the current plan details and in-app labels before relying on a specific count, since plan packaging can change.

These are advertised capacity limits, not a guarantee that every computer, connection, or scene will handle 11 simultaneous feeds equally well. Streamlabs does not publish a recommended computer specification, bandwidth requirement, or tested layout for exactly 11 guests in the cited guides.
Add guests in Streamlabs Desktop
- Add the source: In Streamlabs Desktop, go to Sources, click the plus sign, select Collab Cam, and add the source.
- Start Collab Cam: Open the Collab Cam source and select Start Collab Cam.
- Invite guests: Copy the generated link and send it privately to each guest, such as by direct message or email. Guests join through a browser.
- Check each feed: Let guests join and verify their video before putting them on the broadcast.
- Show the guest: When you’re ready, click Show on Stream for that guest.
- Repeat and arrange: Repeat for the other guests or angles, then size and position their feeds in the scene. Test the finished layout before the event; the official guides do not prescribe a tested layout for 11 feeds.
Streamlabs’ Desktop Collab Cam guide covers this workflow. The basic invitation steps are the same whether you have one guest or need Ultra for additional slots.

Check what the audience can hear
You may hear a guest in your own monitoring while the audience cannot. Streamlabs’ Desktop guide suggests adding an extra microphone source if this happens. Before starting the discussion, check the stream’s audience-side audio—not just what you hear in your headphones—and confirm that guest voices are routed into the broadcast mix.
Keep the invite link private
- Share the link only with people you know and trust; anyone with access to it may be able to enter the guest flow.
- If you are already live, do not share your screen while setting up Collab Cam. Streamlabs warns that doing so could expose the invite link.
- If the link may have been shared beyond the intended group, generate a new one and distribute the replacement privately.
- Guests also need to follow the rules of the platform where you are streaming.
Use Collab Cam on a phone instead
Streamlabs documents Collab Cam in Streamlabs Mobile for both iOS and Android. The mobile workflow is different from the Desktop source setup: create or choose a scene, add a guest layer, name the guest, and share the join link. You can adjust the guest’s placement and audio/video settings, and copy or regenerate the link. Guests can join before the stream starts or while it is in progress. Follow the matching iOS or Android section in the official Mobile guide rather than assuming the button sequence is identical on both platforms.

A spare phone, tablet, or laptop can also act as an optional extra camera angle. It is not required for inviting remote guests or for unlocking Ultra’s additional capacity. Streamlabs’ group-streaming article describes using phones as additional views for an in-room group.
Troubleshoot common Collab Cam problems
