Make a short intermission video or graphic composition, insert it as a regular item between cartoon videos in your playlist, and keep playlist looping enabled. This lets the stream play the card at the chosen break and continue through the sequence; the exact controls depend on your playout tool.
Make the intermission card
Create either a short video file or a composition with a background, text, and optional logo. For example, a simple design might show “Be right back” over a looping background. Keep the message and visuals sponsor-free if you want the break to contain no sponsorship.
Preview the card’s picture and sound alongside the cartoons before putting the sequence on air. Check that text is readable at the stream’s viewing size and that audio levels fit the surrounding videos.
Insert the card into the playlist
- Open the playlist or rundown that contains the cartoon videos.
- Add the card as a normal playlist item, just as you would add another video or jingle.
- Move it between the cartoon items where you want the intermission to occur. Repeat the insertion wherever another break is needed.

In playout.video, edits to a playlist that is already running take effect at the next video transition, not midway through the current video. Other tools may apply changes differently, so check the relevant documentation before editing a live rundown.

Cloud playout
A hosted playout service runs the playlist on its own servers rather than relying on a local computer. playout.video documents playlist jingles and compositions; Upstream describes server-hosted playback with looping playlists and stings or jingles between videos. When choosing a method, check where playback runs, whether you can edit the sequence while live, supported destinations and media formats, how precisely you can control item order and timing, and how much monitoring and maintenance the setup needs. Check rights and destination rules
Adding a card does not grant permission to broadcast the cartoons. Confirm that you have the necessary rights for the videos, music, and other included material, and review the current rules of the platform receiving the stream.
