Schedule the stream, share its watch-page link with subscribers at least 48 hours before launch, and invite viewers to select Notify me. YouTube says a scheduled stream may appear in subscribers’ feeds; it does not guarantee every subscriber will see it or receive an alert.
1. Schedule the stream and prepare its watch page
Create the scheduled livestream in YouTube Studio and make sure its watch page is ready to share. Scheduling can make the stream appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds. Viewers can choose Notify me on the watch page to receive a reminder when the stream is about to begin. Neither feed visibility nor notifications are guaranteed for every subscriber. See YouTube’s live stream settings guidance.
Make the announcement specific: say what the 24/7 stream will feature, when it starts, and whether it adds to or replaces any existing channel programming. This context helps subscribers decide whether to visit the watch page and set a reminder.
2. Share the link at least 48 hours ahead
YouTube recommends sharing the stream link at least 48 hours before going live. Use the scheduled stream’s watch-page URL so people can reach the event and select Notify me, rather than merely telling them to look for the channel later. YouTube’s live stream promotion guidance recommends advance sharing.

3. Put the watch-page link where subscribers already follow you
Use the promotion surfaces that are already part of your channel’s routine. YouTube suggests connecting social accounts for easy sharing, embedding the stream URL on a website, and using the channel’s Live section to display upcoming and live events. Public events may also appear in subscribers’ homepage feeds or in What to Watch Next, but those are possible discovery surfaces—not guaranteed placements.
- Channel Live section: Make the upcoming event easy to find on YouTube.
- Linked social accounts: Share the direct watch-page link on the networks your subscribers already use.
- Website: Embed or link to the scheduled stream for visitors who follow the channel off YouTube.
YouTube does not rank these surfaces by performance, so prioritize the ones your audience already checks rather than assuming one will deliver more views.

4. Explain the new format with a teaser, if useful
A short channel trailer or teaser can show what viewers will get from the continuous stream and how it differs from your usual uploads. Eligible channels can add a trailer to a scheduled livestream’s watch page. YouTube’s current help guidance says this feature requires more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes; the trailer must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long. Check YouTube’s live stream settings page for the current eligibility and setup details.
5. Use a Premiere or Live Redirect only for a launch that suits it
Premiere
A Premiere can give a launch video its own scheduled, shareable watch page and build anticipation around an event introducing the new stream. YouTube recommends scheduling Premieres at least 24 hours ahead to give audiences an opportunity to see the thumbnail in their subscriptions feed. That advice is about Premieres; it is not a requirement for scheduling a standard livestream. See YouTube’s Premiere tips.

Live Redirect
If you are ending another live event to launch the new stream, Live Redirect can send viewers to a Premiere or another live stream. YouTube says creators sending redirects need more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. Redirecting viewers to another channel also requires that channel’s permission. Details are in YouTube’s Live Redirect help page.
Announcement copy you can adapt
We’re starting [what the stream features] on [date and time, with time zone]. It will run as a 24/7 stream on this channel [alongside/replacing] [existing programming]. Visit the scheduled stream here: [watch-page link]. Select “Notify me” on the page if you want YouTube to remind you when it begins.

Keep the claim about reminders conditional: viewers choose whether to set one, and YouTube does not promise that every subscriber will see a notification.
