You can automate a prerecorded playlist by configuring a PC encoder to play and loop your videos, then send its continuous feed to a YouTube Live stream. YouTube Studio creates the stream and provides the connection details; the encoder controls the playlist. To keep it running, the PC, encoder, power and JioFiber connection must remain available.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel enabled for live streaming. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help.
- A PC encoder that can send a continuous RTMP or RTMPS feed and play and loop your chosen media.
- Your videos, plus a playlist configuration in the encoder that specifies their order and repeat behavior.
- A stable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity for the stream settings you choose.
YouTube Studio does not itself loop files on your computer. It creates the live stream and gives the encoder the destination and credentials; the encoder supplies the audio and video.
Set up and schedule the YouTube stream
- Open YouTube Studio and select Go Live. If the channel has not streamed before, complete YouTube’s live-stream enablement steps and allow time for activation; YouTube says it can take up to 24 hours.
- Create a stream in Live Control Room. You can start a stream or schedule one. For a scheduled event, set its title, description, privacy, audience setting and other metadata deliberately. Scheduling creates the event and its watch-page workflow; it does not send or loop your PC’s media.
- Copy the stream connection details. YouTube provides a stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Configure the PC encoder and playlist
- Choose an encoder with playlist and looping support. The precise playlist controls differ by software and version. Configure the files in the order you want, set the playlist to repeat, and choose any transition behavior the encoder offers. YouTube’s setup guide covers connecting an encoder, not a universal playlist sequence or software-specific controls.
- Connect it to YouTube. If the encoder offers a YouTube account or service option, follow its current instructions. Otherwise, enter the stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room into the encoder’s stream settings.
- Select the output format and quality. Choose a resolution, frame rate and encoder bitrate that your PC can sustain and your measured upload connection can carry. Content with fast movement can be more demanding than a static scene. YouTube advises testing upload bitrate and representative audio and motion; consult its current live encoder settings and bitrate guidance rather than treating one setting as universal. YouTube recommends RTMPS.
- Start the encoder and check the event. Confirm that the intended stream receives the feed and that the YouTube preview shows the right video and audible sound.
Test before leaving the stream unattended
Do a complete run with content similar to the real playlist. A private or unlisted test may be suitable if you do not want the test publicly visible. Check each of these points:
- The correct scheduled event or live stream is receiving the feed.
- Videos advance in the intended order and the playlist repeats as configured.
- Audio is present, at a suitable level, and remains in sync with the picture.
- YouTube’s stream-health indicators stay satisfactory during the test.
- The encoder reconnects as expected after you close and reopen it, and you understand what happens after a planned PC restart.
These checks matter because the loop and local recovery behavior depend on your chosen encoder configuration. YouTube recommends testing the feed and monitoring stream health, but does not configure your PC’s playlist for you.

Make the JioFiber connection fit the job
Do not assume the advertised plan speed equals the upload the PC will sustain around the clock. Test upload at the PC’s actual location and at times when you expect to stream. Leave headroom rather than setting the encoder bitrate equal to one speed-test result. A speed test is a snapshot, not proof of uninterrupted capacity.
Jio’s published materials describe its home gateway and qualify plan speeds and availability. Its marketing page’s “up to 1 Gbps” and symmetric upload/download claims apply in that page’s plan context, not automatically to every subscriber or measured PC connection. The postpaid terms describe usage beyond 3300 GB in a billing cycle as potentially treated as misuse of the unlimited-data benefit. That is wording for the described postpaid terms, not a universal allowance for every JioFiber customer; verify the conditions for your account. An Ethernet connection from the PC to the home gateway can help if local Wi-Fi is unstable, but it cannot prevent an ISP-side outage.
Keep a local 24/7 setup running
A PC-based stream depends on more than the playlist. Plan for the computer, encoder, home power, gateway and broadband to stay available. A restart, power cut, router interruption or encoder failure can stop the feed. Test your own restart and reconnection behavior, and decide who will notice and respond if the stream drops. A UPS can help bridge some local power interruptions, but it does not keep broadband available during a network outage.

Also plan around YouTube’s archive behavior. YouTube Help says, “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” Do not count on a single uninterrupted archive for an indefinite 24/7 broadcast; if you need archives, use shorter broadcast segments and verify current behavior in Studio. See YouTube’s stream setup and archive guidance.
Use only material you have the rights to stream, including music, game footage and other third-party content. A live format does not remove copyright obligations. YouTube may restrict or interrupt streams when rights or platform rules are at issue. Repeating content also does not by itself guarantee monetization: assess your channel against YouTube’s current monetization policies and the rights for every asset.

Local PC or cloud operation?
With a local encoder, your own PC and household upload connection carry the stream. A cloud encoder can remove the need to leave that PC running, but adds a service dependency and may have its own playlist, scheduling, cost and recovery limitations. YouTube’s verified-encoder list includes Gyre as a cloud-based prerecorded 24/7 option and Wirecast as software with YouTube management features; listing is not a guarantee of performance, price or availability.
