Pain does not use a normal awakening raid. In the current documented progression, you equip Pain, open the Admin Panel, and complete four upgrades in order. Players often call this path “Pain V2,” but it is an Admin Panel upgrade system rather than a traditional fruit awakening.
What you need before upgrading Pain
- Own and equip the Pain fruit.
- Use the Admin Panel while Pain is equipped.
- Reach the mastery threshold for each upgrade.
- Prepare the displayed currency and material costs. The current Blox Fruits Wiki page lists a full-upgrade total of 500 Mastery, 19,000, 4, 16, and 3. Three material icons are rendered without names in the retrieved page, so check their names in your live game before farming a shopping list.
Pain is listed as a Legendary Natural fruit costing 2,300,000 Beli or 2,200 Robux in 2026 documentation. Robux is an acquisition option, not a requirement for the upgrade tasks.
How to open the Pain upgrade path
- Equip Pain.
- Open the game’s Admin Panel.
- Select the Pain upgrade options.
- Complete the upgrades from top to bottom. Each later upgrade remains locked until its mastery requirement and task are satisfied.
The four Pain upgrades and their tasks

1. Infernal Endurance: survive the lava test
You need 200 Pain mastery. The documented task is to remain on lava for five minutes. The recommended location is Hot and Cold in the Second Sea. Drink three Lava Potions, then walk toward the Smoke Admiral path while maintaining the required lava exposure. The reward doubles Last Stand’s normal duration, from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
2. Agony Surge: create five Pain Ghosts
At 300 mastery, use F Torment Warp ten times while collecting five Pain Ghosts at the same time. The upgrade adds a Drop Kick explosion to a held Torment Warp, changing how the move can finish an engagement.

3. Torment Conductor: defeat a Lightning user
At 400 mastery, defeat a player using Lightning. Afterward, tapped Z Fury Jab Pain Ghosts heat-seek toward the target instead of relying solely on manual placement.
4. Spectral Assimilation: collect 200 Pain Ghosts
At 500 mastery, collect 200 Pain Ghosts. This final upgrade gives C Agony Nuke a chargeable beam and completes the documented Pain upgrade route.

Do you need a Pain raid or an awakening NPC?
No. The standard raid route applies to fruits that support traditional awakening, not to Pain’s current system. For a traditionally awakenable fruit, a player normally completes a raid with that fruit equipped, enters L’Église de Prophétie, and spends Fragments with the Mysterious Entity one move at a time. A successful raid is documented as awarding 300–1,000 Fragments, and a basic raid uses either a 100,000-Beli Microchip or a physical fruit.
Pain is documented as an exception: its current upgrades are selected through the Admin Panel, and it does not have a conventional awakened moveset unlocked through raids. If you are searching for a “Pain awakening NPC,” you are looking for a system Pain does not currently use.

Common problems and fixes
The upgrade is locked
Check the mastery requirement first, then verify that the task was completed in the same Pain-equipped session. The sequence is 200, 300, 400 and 500 mastery.
The lava objective is not progressing
Use Hot and Cold in the Second Sea, drink the recommended three Lava Potions, and remain on the lava route for the full five minutes. Leaving the surface early can prevent completion.

You cannot find the material names
The current page displays three required resources as icons without readable names. Open the live Admin Panel and record the labels shown there before farming; do not rely on an inferred name from an icon.
You are farming Fragments for Pain
Fragments are associated with the traditional raid-awakening route. Pain’s documented route instead checks its Admin Panel objectives and displayed upgrade costs.

What “Pain V2” means
“Pain V2” is community shorthand for completing these four upgrades. It does not identify a separate fruit, raid, or NPC. Once Spectral Assimilation is complete, the documented Pain upgrade path is finished.

To awaken—or, more accurately, upgrade—Pain, equip it and use the Admin Panel. Complete Infernal Endurance, Agony Surge, Torment Conductor and Spectral Assimilation at 200, 300, 400 and 500 mastery; no Pain raid or Mysterious Entity is required.
