How to handle her attack sequences
Prioritize dodging over damage
Do not stay committed to an attack string when Kang-Jin Star begins a lightning sequence. Lightning makes close-range aggression hazardous, and chasing her during airborne attacks can leave you exposed. Focus on avoiding the attack and repositioning; wait until the sequence ends before trying to close in.
Take short punish windows
When she finishes an attack and has a clear recovery, move in for a brief exchange, then reset. Short, repeatable attacks are safer than extending a combo into the next lightning move. If you are unsure whether an opening is real, prioritize getting clear rather than squeezing in another hit.

Adapt when she takes to the air
In the second phase, dragon-form aerial attacks may make her harder to reach and can include tail swipes or rushes. Avoid chasing damage while she is airborne or attacking; stay focused on evasion and wait for a grounded recovery before committing.
Choose damage and spells for reliability
Favor physical damage if status effects underperform
If elemental status strategies are producing poor results, use a physical-damage approach instead. One chapter guide reports that Kang-Jin Star resists Thunder, Ice, and Fire, and is immune to Frozen, Burn, Shock, and Poisoned. Spend spells on openings or survival
A chapter guide suggests using Immobilize during a confirmed opening before a charged heavy attack. It also recommends keeping Cloud Step available for long combos, arena-wide attacks, or a safe chance to heal. These are options rather than mandatory spell choices: avoid spending a spell while she is difficult to hit or while you are still in danger.

If repeated attempts are consuming too much health or healing, stop treating the fight as a damage race. Leave the encounter, improve your equipment, and return with a physical-damage setup if elemental effects have been ineffective.
