To build The Tomb’s Staff of Ice in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, collect the Monocle and two mural components, then assemble them in the Dark Aether Nexus and defend the crafting ritual. You’ll need to open the Doorway to Nowhere, solve the Bull and Hunter mural puzzles, and survive the waves each puzzle triggers.
Before you start
The Staff of Ice is The Tomb’s map-specific Wonder Weapon, obtained through the map’s Main Quest. Activision recommends going into the assembly ritual with a weapon upgraded to Pack-a-Punch level one and Rare (blue) rarity. Jugger-Nog and Speed Cola may also help you survive. How to build the Staff of Ice

Open the Doorway to Nowhere
Progress through The Tomb to the Subterranean Temple and interact with the amulet pedestal. This opens the Doorway to Nowhere and gives you access to the Dark Aether Nexus, where you’ll assemble the Staff.

Get the Monocle from the Shock Mimic
Reach Round 8 and kill the Shock Mimic. Walkthrough guides identify the Monocle as its drop and the first required component. Make sure to pick it up.

Complete the Bull mural puzzle in the Tombs
Use the nearby Aether crystal or lantern mechanic to reveal the Bull mural’s symbols. Shoot the symbols in numeric order, following their Roman-numeral-like markings, then survive the enemies that appear. The sequence awards one of the Staff components.
Guides differ on the exact number of symbols in the mural sequences. Use the markings displayed in your match rather than relying on a fixed count.

Complete the Hunter mural puzzle in the Neolithic Catacombs
Repeat the crystal or lantern process at the Hunter mural to reveal its symbols. Shoot them in numeric order and survive the resulting enemy sequence to earn the other Staff component.

Assemble and defend the Staff
Take the Monocle and both mural components to the central assembly structure in the Dark Aether Nexus, beside the Pack-a-Punch area. Interact with the structure to begin crafting. Defend it from attacking enemies until the ritual finishes, then collect the Staff of Ice.

If a step does not work
- The Monocle is missing: The walkthrough guides place the Shock Mimic encounter at Round 8. Kill the Mimic and collect its drop.
- The mural has no visible symbols: The Aether crystal or lantern needs to be at the relevant mural position. Shoot nearby crystals or lanterns to cycle their locations until the puzzle is revealed.
- You are unsure how many symbols to shoot: The consulted guides do not agree on a fixed count. Follow the symbols shown in-game and shoot them in numeric order.
- The ritual is too difficult to defend: Upgrade your weapon and consider the optional perks Activision recommends before interacting with the assembly structure.
What is confirmed about the steps
The Round 8 Shock Mimic drop and the component and mural instructions come from secondary walkthrough guides. Activision’s public guide identifies the Staff of Ice as The Tomb’s Wonder Weapon and offers preparation advice, but does not provide the complete three-component walkthrough in the section covering this weapon. No platform-specific or current-patch confirmation of quest changes is established here; if an updated game build behaves differently, follow the in-game objective prompts.
