How to buy VALORANT Points in the client
- Open the VALORANT client and go to Store.
- Review the available VP packages and payment options. The methods shown for your account region are the ones to use; check the final amount displayed at checkout before confirming.
- Select a package and complete checkout using an option shown in the client. If a payment method is missing, consult Riot’s support information for your region rather than assuming it is available everywhere. Riot’s purchase support section links to an article dedicated to VALORANT payment methods.
Current country-by-country details for direct payments are not established here. Options such as bank cards, digital wallets, carrier billing, or local services should not be assumed; check the client or regional Riot support page.

What payment methods are available?
Availability depends on the account’s region. The client’s checkout screen is the practical place to see which direct payment methods Riot currently offers for that account. Compare only what is displayed there, including the final amount; fees, exchange rates, and payment protections can differ by method and location and should be verified for the specific option.
Riot published a PayPal payment notice on July 18, 2025, saying some players had trouble logging in to PayPal during a purchase. Riot suggested enabling PayPal two-factor authentication as a workaround while it investigated. That dated notice does not establish that the issue is ongoing or that PayPal is currently available in every region.

How to redeem a prepaid VALORANT card or code
Riot documents prepaid cards and codes as another way to purchase Riot game currency. Its guidance describes this redemption route for PC. The article was indexed February 4, 2022; its denomination examples and regional mappings should not be treated as a current global catalog. Check that a card is compatible with your account region before buying.
- Sign in to the VALORANT client.
- Open the Store, then click the VALORANT icon beside the Store tab.
- Choose the prepaid cards/codes option.
- Enter the code without spaces or hyphens, then submit it.
- Keep the physical card or digital copy and receipt until redemption succeeds.
For Riot’s instructions and regional cautions, see Riot’s prepaid gift card support article. Riot says these cards are region-bound, so a card bought for one region may not work in another. Riot also strongly discourages buying cards through unofficial third-party marketplaces.

- Confirm that the card’s region matches the region for your Riot account.
- Check who is selling the card. Riot’s warning against unofficial sellers means a marketplace listing should not be assumed to be Riot-approved.
- Keep the card or digital code and the receipt until the code activates successfully.
- Use Riot’s support guidance for your region if compatibility or redemption is unclear.
