To change Fortnite’s field of view, open Settings, select the Game tab, and scroll to FOV Minimum and FOV Maximum. The button used to open the Game Menu depends on your platform.
Open the FOV settings
Use the control for your platform to open Fortnite’s Game Menu, then follow the same settings path:
- Open the Game Menu.
- Select the Gear icon in the right column, then choose Settings.
- Open the Game tab.
- Scroll down to the FOV Minimum and FOV Maximum sliders and adjust them.
Epic Games Support documents this route and names both sliders in its Fortnite field-of-view instructions.
Open the Game Menu on your platform

If the FOV controls are missing
Check which game mode is selected. Epic notes that settings-menu options can depend on the current game mode; its controls support page advises selecting the correct mode when an option is unavailable.
FOV and aspect-ratio limitation
Epic says Fortnite does not support a 21:9 aspect ratio in Ranked or Competitive modes. That limitation is specific to those modes; it is not a statement about every Fortnite mode. See Epic’s FOV support article.
