You can view your own Roblox inventory from the Inventory page, but Roblox’s documented user-facing instructions do not provide a way to view another player’s inventory after they make it private. You can check or change your own inventory visibility in Settings; if you are a parent managing a child’s account, use Parental Controls.
How to view your own Roblox inventory
- Open the menu at the top left of Roblox in a browser and select Inventory.
- Choose an inventory category and, where available, a subcategory.
- Browse the inventory pages. Select an item to open its page; an item you own is marked Item Owned with a checkmark. Roblox Support’s inventory instructions describe these browser steps.
How to check or change who can see your inventory
On your profile page, open Settings using the gear icon, then go to Privacy & content restrictions → Trading & inventory → Inventory visibility. The setting determines who can view your inventory. Choose No one to hide it from other users. The available choices may depend on your account; use the options shown in your current Roblox settings.
Can you view another player’s private inventory?
Roblox’s documented viewer-facing instructions do not offer a way to see another user’s inventory when that user has made it private. Respect the account’s visibility setting rather than trying to get around it. The Creator Hub Inventory API documentation describes developer access and setup using an API key or OAuth; it does not establish a supported way to bypass a player’s privacy setting. Avoid treating third-party sites, scripts, or API calls as a legitimate workaround.
Manage a child’s inventory visibility
A parent can manage a child’s setting through Settings → Parental Controls → Settings You Manage → Trading & inventory. Roblox provides more detail in its Parent Controls overview and parental-controls guidance. The labels and options available in the account interface determine what can be changed.

Does hiding your inventory affect trading?
Roblox Support’s inventory article says hiding an inventory does not affect use of the Trading System. A recent report on the Roblox Developer Forum disputes whether that remains accurate. The available information does not settle the conflict, so check current official Roblox guidance and the account interface before relying on a particular trading behavior.
