In YouTube Studio, check channel RPM under Analytics → Revenue. For one 24/7 livestream, open Content → Live, select the stream, then open Analytics → Revenue. RPM is not a live counter: YouTube says revenue can take two days to appear, and the workflow is the same for creators in India.
Check channel RPM in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Choose Analytics from the left menu.
- Open the Revenue tab.
- Choose the date range you want to inspect and review RPM.
YouTube makes the Revenue tab available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program at both channel and video level. The Analytics interface began a gradual update rollout in July 2026, so the exact label placement can vary by account.
Check RPM for one 24/7 livestream
- In YouTube Studio, open Content.
- Select the Live tab and choose the stream or its archived live video, if available.
- Open Analytics, then Revenue.
- Set a date range that includes the period you want to examine. Allow for the revenue reporting delay.
- If the Revenue report is missing while a Live-only filter is applied, remove that filter or select Live and on demand, if available.
YouTube’s live-metrics guidance says some revenue and interaction reports are unavailable with the Live-only filter. Its separate livestream monetization guidance describes a Live filter for viewing ad-revenue breakdowns from live streams and replays. These are report-specific differences: a live ad breakdown may be available even when another Revenue report does not support that filter.
What RPM means—and what it does not
YouTube defines RPM as the creator’s revenue per 1,000 views, calculated after YouTube’s revenue share. It can include ads, YouTube Premium, channel memberships, Super Chat and Super Stickers. Because it includes views that did not generate revenue, RPM is generally lower than CPM.

CPM measures advertiser cost per 1,000 ad impressions before YouTube’s revenue share; it is not the amount you receive per 1,000 views. RPM also excludes most merchandise sales, sponsorships, and revenue from services or consulting.
- Compare RPM alongside views and revenue; a rise in unmonetized views can lower RPM even if revenue stays flat.
- Look at revenue sources as well as the RPM figure. RPM by itself does not identify what caused a change.
- Use date ranges of the same length when comparing streams or periods.
- Do not compare an early estimated amount with finalized AdSense for YouTube earnings as if they were the same snapshot.
Why you cannot see a 24/7 stream’s earnings in real time
YouTube says it takes two days for revenue to show in Analytics. Estimated revenue can then be adjusted: an initial adjustment happens after about a week, and another in the middle of the following month. Finalized earnings can differ and appear in AdSense for YouTube.
A stream’s continuous duration does not guarantee continuous ad serving. Eligible livestreams may have pre-roll and mid-roll ads, but YouTube warns that ad slots are not guaranteed to serve an ad. Mid-rolls may be automatic or manually scheduled when livestream monetization is enabled. YouTube reported that automatic mid-rolls were associated with an average uplift of over 20% in instream ad revenue per hour across 207 countries in January 2024; that platform-wide figure is neither India-specific nor a prediction of an individual stream’s RPM.

Does the process or expected RPM differ in India?
The documented Studio navigation is not India-specific, and YouTube’s India-localized live-metrics guidance describes the same workflow and filter caveat. The official sources cited here do not establish a universal Indian RPM rate or a special India-only RPM screen. Your figure reflects your channel’s actual views and revenue; geography alone does not provide a reliable benchmark.

For channel-level revenue on Android, open the YouTube Studio app and go to Analytics → Revenue. The report includes estimated earnings and performance such as RPM for livestreams. If a video-level report or filter is missing in the app, use Studio on a computer; some Analytics reports may not be available on mobile.
