To answer that, check the exact game edition and update, review the publisher’s information, and look for credible testing of that version in the play mode you use.
Check whether the game is playable first
- Search Nintendo’s Switch 2 compatibility checker by the exact game title or publisher. The checker is intended to identify playability and compatibility issues, not report frame rates.
- Read any result notes carefully. Nintendo warns that some games may have partial functionality issues or may not be supported. Some physical-only or discontinued games may be missing from search results unless testing found an issue, so no result is not proof either way.
- For a third-party game with unclear compatibility, check with its publisher. Nintendo’s support guidance says: “For specific compatibility information about games published by someone other than Nintendo, please contact the game’s publisher.”
A compatibility result answers whether the game is considered playable under Nintendo’s checker; it does not establish a 60 fps target or measured performance.
Confirm the edition, update, and play mode
Before relying on a performance claim, make sure it applies to the version you intend to play. Distinguish the original Switch release from a Switch 2 Edition, and check whether a Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack is installed. Nintendo says upgrade packs are available only for select games, and their enhancements vary by title. An edition label or upgrade alone does not establish a frame-rate improvement; look for a named enhancement from the publisher or testing that confirms it.
Also check whether the evidence covers handheld or docked play and which game update or patch was tested. A claim about one build or mode may not describe another.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Find evidence about 60 fps for that specific game
- Start with the publisher’s current information. Look for an explicit frame-rate target or an update note that names a performance change for the exact title and edition.
- Then look for credible, game-specific performance testing. Prefer testing that identifies the game build or patch and whether it was played handheld or docked. Useful evidence includes observed frame rate across representative gameplay, stability, and frame pacing—not just a statement that the game works.
- Separate a target from observed results. A game may have a 60 fps target, an unlocked ceiling, or measured performance that varies during play. Report what the source actually establishes rather than treating those descriptions as interchangeable.
Nintendo’s official compatibility pages do not provide measured frame rates for individual games. Without title-specific publisher information or reliable testing, the accurate conclusion is that the available evidence does not confirm 60 fps.
Why the Switch 2 output specification is not a game-frame-rate answer
Nintendo says Switch 2 can output up to 120 fps in docked mode when the game and TV support it, while 4K output is capped at 60 fps. These are system output limits, not a promise that a particular game renders at 60 fps. A game’s result still needs evidence for that title, version, and play mode.

How to phrase what you find
- If the checker lists the game as playable, say it is listed as playable; do not infer a frame rate from that result.
- If the publisher states a 60 fps target, identify it as a target and note the applicable edition or update.
- If testing measured performance, name the tested version and play mode and distinguish sustained performance from dips or inconsistent frame pacing.
- If sources do not establish frame rate, say so plainly instead of converting compatibility, an upgrade, or a display specification into a 60 fps claim.
