The official material reviewed lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but does not establish a PC release or publish PC system requirements. You can record your PC’s components now, then compare them with Rockstar’s minimum and recommended specifications if it announces a PC version.
Can your PC run GTA 6?
There is no official PC compatibility verdict to make at present: Rockstar’s GTA VI page does not show PC requirements, and Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 release announcement names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch, not PC. That information does not confirm whether or when a PC version will arrive.
So, don’t rely on a leaked chart, a hardware guess, GTA V’s requirements, or a console’s specifications to decide whether your computer will run GTA 6. None is an official GTA 6 PC compatibility test. Rockstar’s pre-order details also do not establish a PC edition; a console code-in-a-box format is not evidence of PC availability.
Record your PC’s current hardware with DxDiag
Rockstar Games Customer Support recommends Windows’ DirectX Diagnostic Tool for identifying computer hardware. To collect your details:

- Open the Windows Start menu, choose Run, type
dxdiag, and select OK. - On the System tab, record the operating system, processor, and memory (RAM).
- On the Display tab, record the graphics-card name, manufacturer, chip type, video memory, driver version, and driver date.
- Keep the details together so you can compare them with official requirements later. DxDiag reports what is installed; it does not determine whether GTA 6 will run.

How to compare your PC with official requirements
If Rockstar publishes PC requirements, compare each item in its table with the corresponding detail from your PC. Check minimum and recommended requirements separately; matching the minimum tier would not, by itself, promise high settings or smooth performance.

Keep any performance target attached to the requirement it qualifies. If Rockstar specifies a resolution, frame rate, or graphics preset, compare against that context rather than treating a component list as a promise of identical performance on every system. The exact comparison categories will depend on what Rockstar publishes.

Rockstar publishes a separate GTA V PC system requirements page. Those specifications apply to GTA V; they are not a proxy for GTA 6. Likewise, unofficial predictions cannot establish GTA 6’s actual minimum or recommended PC hardware.

Until Rockstar provides both official PC platform information and requirements, use your DxDiag results only as an inventory of your current system. Don’t buy a graphics card, RAM, SSD, or replacement PC on the assumption that it will meet an unpublished target.
