On Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, open the Guide while a game is running and select Game activity > Achievements. You can also check progress in the Xbox mobile app, Xbox app for Windows, or PC Game Bar. Some newer profile and achievement-history features are still being tested with Xbox Insiders, so the menus may differ by account.
Check achievements on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S

While playing a game, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the Guide.

Select Game activity > Achievements to open that game’s achievement list and progress. This is Xbox’s documented in-game route. Xbox Wire’s May 31, 2022 achievement update describes the same path.
Achievements that you have unlocked appear in the game’s list and add to your Gamerscore. If an achievement is marked secret, you can reveal its title, description, and Gamerscore; Xbox says you can hide the details again or leave them displayed. Revealing them may spoil an undiscovered part of the game.

Check progress on a phone or PC
Xbox mobile app
Open the Xbox app on Android or iOS and use its achievements feature to review progress. Xbox advertises achievement progress, leaderboards, sorting, filtering, and sharing in the app, but its product page does not provide a complete tap-by-tap route. The listed minimum requirements are iOS 15.1 or later and Android 8.0 or later. See the Xbox app page for current compatibility and features.
Windows PC and Game Bar
Xbox lists achievement tracking in the Xbox app for Windows PC and PC Game Bar. Open the relevant app’s Achievements view to check progress; Xbox’s cited platform information does not establish a single current sequence of clicks for these interfaces. The Xbox Wire achievement update lists these supported surfaces alongside consoles and mobile apps.

New profile and completion features may be Insider-only
Xbox Wire described several profile changes as Insider access or testing in 2026, rather than as a universal menu available to every player.
Gaming tab and Mythic progress
In its September 29, 2026 announcement, Xbox said Insiders could use a Gaming tab on their profile to see achievements, Gamerscore milestone badge progress, and completed games. The announcement also described a progress bar in each game’s achievement list toward Mythic status. Mythic status is for completing a game’s original achievements; later add-ons are identified separately and are not required. Check Xbox Wire’s September 29, 2026 announcement for rollout details.

Achievement-history filters and profile hiding
An April 8, 2026 Xbox Wire post described testing with select Insiders for hiding games on a profile, highlighting fully completed games, and filtering the achievement list. Xbox said hiding a game changes how it appears on the profile; it does not remove Gamerscore or stop activity reporting. Because these options were described as testing and staged rollout, do not assume they will appear in your profile. See Xbox Wire’s April 8, 2026 post.

The available Xbox Support search results do not establish a specific repair sequence or a universal delay window for missing achievements. Avoid assuming that an unlock will appear within a set time or trying a purported sync fix as if it were an official procedure. Consult Xbox Support’s current achievement guidance for instructions applicable to your account and game.
