Choose a service that explicitly supports unattended YouTube looping of prerecorded videos—not merely scheduled prerecorded events. For a simple cloud-based channel, StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist live from the cloud, with one flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps and a free first day. Gyre and OneStream Live are also documented options; OneStream’s 24/7 feature is limited to Enterprise and scheduled runs of up to 30 days.
Start with the channel and content requirements
A third-party service cannot bypass YouTube’s eligibility rules. Before choosing a provider, confirm the channel is verified and has no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says a channel-level restriction cannot be worked around by switching to another channel. All live content must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. YouTube’s live-streaming restrictions and requirements
- Use videos you have the right to broadcast. A continuous stream does not make copyrighted or otherwise policy-violating material permissible.
- Do not assume that looping content guarantees audience growth, monetization, or approval. A provider’s promotional claims are not a YouTube outcome guarantee.
- If the channel or content is not eligible, resolve that issue before paying for a streaming service.
YouTube also sets concurrency limits: a channel can have up to 10 active streams, while an individual stream key can have up to 3 active streams. These are platform limits, not extra capacity promised by a provider. YouTube Help
Compare services by whether they really support unattended looping
First decide whether you need a continuous, self-running channel or just an occasional scheduled event. Then compare the details that determine whether the workflow will keep working after you leave it alone.

| StreamNeo | Cloud playback of uploaded videos or a playlist as an always-on YouTube stream, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. | One stream per slot; includes 10 GB storage per slot, pooled across active slots. Supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps without re-encoding. The first day is free with no card; details below. |
| Gyre | Cloud uploads, playlists, scheduling, and continuous looping of prerecorded videos. | Published tiers differ in storage, stream concurrency, resolution, and scheduler access. Check current plan details and destinations before choosing. Gyre |
| OneStream Live | Prerecorded scheduling, ordered playlists, and a continuous YouTube loop. | Its 24/7 mode requires Enterprise, is YouTube-only, and each scheduled run is limited to 30 days. Uploads can come from a device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage. OneStream Live |
| StreamYard | Prerecorded live events and production tools for scheduled content. | The published plan information lists prerecorded-stream allowances of 2 hours on Core and 4 hours on Advanced; it does not establish an unattended 24/7 loop. Treat it as an event-production option unless you confirm otherwise. StreamYard pricing |
| AJA HELO Plus | A hardware encoder whose PlayToStream feature is listed by YouTube as able to schedule prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live without a computer. | This is a physical device, not cloud hosting. Check the current workflow, acquisition cost, and availability before buying. YouTube’s encoder directory |
Questions to ask each provider
- Does the service keep a playlist looping continuously, or does it only schedule finite events?
- Which destinations are supported, and can the plan run the number of simultaneous streams you need?
- What resolution and frame rate are supported, and does the service re-encode uploaded files?
- How much storage is included, and can you update a playlist while a stream is running?
- How are files uploaded, and what happens after a stream disconnects or a scheduled run ends?
- Are scheduling controls included in your plan? What is the maximum duration of a single run?
Choose the operating model that fits
Pick a cloud loop for an unattended channel
A cloud service is the best fit when the stream should continue without a home computer or local internet connection staying on. StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs an uploaded video or playlist continuously from the cloud, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and the first day free. Gyre and OneStream Live are other documented continuous-loop candidates; verify their current plan limits and operating conditions before committing.
Pick event-production software for scheduled shows
StreamYard’s documented prerecorded-stream allowances make it relevant for scheduled events and production features, but the available plan details do not establish that it can run a hands-off 24/7 loop. Do not select it on the assumption that event streaming and continuous playout are interchangeable.

Pick hardware if you want a physical encoder
The AJA HELO Plus is a hardware alternative rather than a cloud service. YouTube’s encoder directory lists its scheduled prerecorded-media feature, which can send media to YouTube Live without a computer. That distinction matters: hardware avoids leaving a desktop computer running, but it is still a device-based setup rather than cloud-hosted playout.
Compare cost and plan limits before you commit
Compare the price of the plan that actually includes continuous looping—not an entry-level event plan—with the capacity you need. For Gyre, check storage, stream count, resolution, and scheduler access on the current plan page. For OneStream Live, account for the Enterprise requirement and 30-day maximum scheduled duration for 24/7 mode. StreamYard’s published Core and Advanced prerecorded allowances are finite event hours, not evidence of unlimited continuous streaming.

Set up the channel and reduce avoidable failures
- Verify eligibility: confirm YouTube verification and live-stream access, and check that there has been no live restriction in the last 90 days. Review YouTube’s current live-streaming requirements.
- Prepare rights-cleared files: select videos you are allowed to stream, assemble them in the desired order, and make sure the playlist has enough variety and duration for the channel’s purpose.
- Check provider limits: confirm plan capacity, storage, resolution, scheduler access, supported destinations, playlist editing, and restart behavior. For OneStream 24/7, keep the 30-day run limit in mind.
- Connect YouTube securely: follow the provider’s current instructions to add the channel or stream key. Treat a stream key like a password; do not publish or share it.
- Test before relying on it: start a private or unlisted test if appropriate, check that video and audio play as intended, and verify that the broadcast appears correctly in YouTube Studio. Then confirm how the provider resumes playback after a disconnect.
Troubleshoot the common selection and setup problems
- You cannot start a live stream: check channel verification and live-stream restrictions. A provider cannot override a YouTube restriction.
- The stream ends instead of looping: confirm you selected a continuous-loop or 24/7 mode rather than a scheduled event. For OneStream, a scheduled 24/7 run cannot exceed 30 days.
- The provider rejects the stream key or fails to connect: recheck that the key belongs to the intended YouTube channel and was copied correctly. If you replaced it in YouTube, update the provider configuration.
- A file or playlist will not play: check the provider’s supported upload workflow and file requirements, then retry with a known-good file. Do not assume every provider handles playlist edits during a live run the same way.
- Stream quality or capacity is below expectations: check the exact plan’s resolution, frame-rate, storage, and simultaneous-stream limits rather than relying on a general product description.
- The stream disconnects: review the provider’s recovery behavior and YouTube’s live dashboard. Automatic recovery is product-specific; confirm the feature before purchase.
