Choose a gaming PC by matching its graphics card and processor to the resolution, frame rate, and settings you want—not by shopping for a machine advertised as “GTA 6 ready.” Rockstar’s official pages currently list Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026 release date, but publish no PC requirements and do not confirm a PC version. That means there is no official GTA VI PC spec target to buy against yet.
What PC specs do you need for GTA 6?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists the game as coming November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Customer Support’s platforms, editions, and versions page, last updated August 18, 2026, also lists those consoles for pre-order.
Neither reviewed official page gives PC system requirements or confirms a PC version. This describes what Rockstar has published on those pages; it does not establish whether the company may announce PC plans later. Until Rockstar publishes PC requirements, any specific GPU, CPU, memory, or storage recommendation presented as necessary for GTA VI would be speculation. Console hardware cannot be translated into a dependable PC parts list.
Start with your display and performance target
Decide what monitor you plan to use before comparing PCs. Resolution—1080p, 1440p, or 4K—and the frame rate and graphics settings you want affect how much graphics performance you need. Microsoft’s Windows gaming PC guidance recommends matching the GPU to the display’s resolution and links graphics capability with visual quality and frame rate.

Be realistic about trade-offs: a higher resolution or more demanding settings generally call for more graphics capability. Compare systems against the games and display you actually intend to use, rather than assuming one PC is ideal for every resolution and frame-rate goal.
Compare the GPU and CPU as a pair
The graphics card is central to rendering a game, but the processor matters too. Intel’s gaming PC build guide notes that both CPU and GPU affect in-game FPS, particularly in demanding, graphics-heavy games. Research the GPU’s suitability for your target resolution, frame rate, and settings, then check that the rest of the configuration makes sense alongside it.

Do not judge a prebuilt PC by one component label alone. A named GPU does not tell you the complete system’s performance, and the reviewed guidance does not establish a GTA VI-specific CPU or GPU tier. Compare the exact processor and graphics card in each configuration rather than relying on broad “gaming” or “next-gen ready” claims.
Check storage and the rest of the configuration
An SSD is a sensible general-purpose criterion for a gaming PC. Microsoft recommends an SSD for Windows and games, and Intel’s build guidance likewise says an SSD is typically wanted. These are general recommendations, not a published GTA VI storage requirement; the official pages reviewed state no game-specific capacity.

A practical checklist for comparing gaming PCs
- Write down your monitor resolution and the frame rate and graphics settings you want.
- Compare the exact GPU and CPU in each PC against those goals and the other demanding games you play.
- Check memory, SSD type and capacity, total price, warranty and support, case size, cooling, and noise.
- If upgradeability matters, confirm compatibility for the specific system rather than assuming components can be replaced.
- Treat claims that a PC is specifically “GTA 6 ready” cautiously unless they are backed by PC requirements Rockstar has published.
