It includes the Japanese-language console and a download number for one of three games. Before comparing the price or games, check whether Japan-only hardware will work with your language, Nintendo Account region, and intended place of use.
Check the console’s language and account restrictions first
The new bundle contains Nintendo’s Japanese-Language System (Japan Only). Nintendo says it is designed for use in Japan; the system language is Japanese only, and only Nintendo Accounts with the country/region set to Japan can be linked. If you need another system language or use an account registered outside Japan, this is the wrong hardware variant.
Nintendo’s multi-language system supports 16 languages, including Japanese and English, and Nintendo Accounts from all regions. Nintendo lists it at ¥69,980 including tax and says it is sold only through Nintendo Store. Software generally follows the system language, although some games may offer an individual language setting. See Nintendo’s Switch 2 model comparison before choosing.
Compare the bundle with the console-only options
Nintendo’s announced prices are manufacturer suggested prices, not guarantees of retailer pricing, stock, or checkout terms.
#1 Best Overall
- Save $37.98 on everything you need to play with this bundle
- Includes Nintendo Switch 2, the most powerful Nintendo system yet
- Includes the Mario Kart World digital game download
- 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online included for online play and more
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
| Option | Suggested price including tax | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Japan-only Choose-Your-Game bundle | ¥63,980 | Japanese-language, Japan-only system plus a download number for one of three games; planned release November 12, 2026. |
| Japan-only console alone | ¥59,980 | Japanese-language, Japan-only hardware; no game selection is included in this console-only price. |
| Multi-language console alone | ¥69,980 | Supports 16 languages and accounts from all regions; Nintendo lists it as sold only through Nintendo Store. |
The bundle costs ¥4,000 more than Nintendo’s listed Japan-only console-only price, but includes a game code. That comparison is useful only if the Japan-only restrictions suit you and you want one of the eligible titles. The multi-language system is a different variant, not simply the same bundle with more languages. Current details are on Nintendo’s Switch 2 lineup page.
Choose the game you will actually play
The download number lets you choose exactly one of these games—not all three:
Rank #2
- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
- Mario Kart World
- Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
- Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream
Nintendo’s bundle announcement does not rank the games or identify a universally best choice. Pick based on which title you want; if none appeals, compare the console-only options rather than treating the bundle as an automatic upgrade.
Understand redemption before buying or gifting
The game is digital, redeemed through Nintendo eShop. Redemption requires a Nintendo Account and an internet connection, and the included number expires on March 31, 2027. Nintendo’s general bundle-download guidance says the account that receives the bundled software cannot later be changed and the software cannot be transferred to another account. If buying for someone else, make sure the intended recipient’s eligible account is the one used for redemption.
Rank #3

Check what is in the box
Nintendo lists the following hardware and materials in the bundle:
- Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese-Language System (Japan Only)
- Joy-Con 2 left and right controllers and Joy-Con 2 straps
- Nintendo Switch 2 dock and Joy-Con 2 grip
- AC adapter and USB-C charging cable
- Ultra High Speed HDMI cable
- Leaflet bearing the download number
Consider where you will use the console
Nintendo describes the Japan-only system as designed for use in Japan. Its guidance says overseas packaged games are not covered by an operation guarantee, and damage or malfunction overseas is outside its warranty and repair service. If you expect to use the console outside Japan, review Nintendo’s current overseas-use guidance before buying.

A practical buying checklist
- Confirm the hardware variant: choose Japan-only only if Japanese system language and a Japan-region Nintendo Account work for you.
- Decide whether you want a listed game: the bundle includes one download choice, not three games.
- Check the redemption plan: ensure you can use an eligible Nintendo Account and internet access before the March 31, 2027 deadline.
- Compare current offers: confirm seller, price, availability, model and included game or code terms. The bundle is planned for November 12, 2026, so do not assume it is available before that date.
- For overseas use, read Nintendo’s guidance: region-specific warranty and operation support may matter more than the bundle price.
