Because Battlefield 6 is updated live, use the in-game tracker as the authority if a requirement or item name differs.
Unlock and track Class Challenges
Electronic Arts says Class Challenges for the four roles unlock at Career Rank 20. From the lobby, open Challenges and select the class assignments. Work through one class track at a time: Shacknews reports that assignments must be completed in order and progress on a locked assignment does not count retroactively.
Check the active challenge description and progress counter before committing to a match. The game’s current tracker is the best reference for live thresholds, names, and eligible modes; the full checklist below is a dated October 2025 snapshot, not a guarantee that every value remains unchanged.
Assault assignments
Assault’s chain emphasizes infantry fighting, explosives, close-range kills, and objective contests.

For objective and close-range tasks, play near contested objectives and teammates. Equip the Adrenaline Injector for its specific kills requirement, and verify the active tracker for the grenade-launcher and shotgun tasks.
Engineer assignments
Engineer tasks focus on vehicle repair and damage, launcher use, and aircraft-related progress.

Repair friendly vehicles when the opportunity arises, then concentrate on the vehicle type and weapon named by the active task. For designation-dependent damage, coordinate with a Recon player or use an available designation tool; EA identifies the Engineer Repair Tool as the class signature gadget in its game information hub.
Support assignments
Support’s chain rewards healing, reviving, resupplying, and intercepting projectiles. EA’s class guidance describes faster revives and the Defibrillator instant-revive tool; its instructions also cover Supply Bag healing and resupply.

Stay close to teammates so healing, revives, and resupplies can accumulate naturally. For the final assignment, both the damage and revive requirements are listed; the revive target is specifically in a match, so check the tracker during play.
Recon assignments
Recon tasks center on spotting, target designation, decoys, and long-range performance.

Use Recon gadgets around objectives for spotting requirements, and mark targets when the assignment calls for designation. EA notes that Recon Training Paths can make spotting easier, including by looking at an enemy while aiming down sights or damaging them. The official game information hub also provides class context.

- Confirm it is unlocked. Complete earlier assignments in that class first; locked-task activity may not be credited later.
- Match the wording exactly. Check whether the task specifies a class, gadget, weapon, objective area, distance, or single-match condition.
- Check mode eligibility. Do not assume every playlist counts. The challenge’s in-game description should identify applicable conditions.
- Use the tracker as the live reference. If the listed October 2025 threshold or item name conflicts with the game, follow the current display.
EA’s Update 1.2.3.0 notes document specific tracking corrections: class-match progress in Battle Royale was fixed so it no longer required a Battle Royale win, and Recon spotting progression in Battle Royale was also corrected. Those notes establish fixes for those named cases, not a general guarantee that every challenge works in every mode.

What the class rewards include
Across the assignment chains, rewards listed in Shacknews’ October 13, 2025 checklist include gadgets, alternate Training Paths and presets, badges, character cosmetics, and player-card items. EA confirms that class assignments unlock rewards including gadgets, a second Training Path, and customization items. The exact reward attached to each step is shown in the tables above; availability or naming may differ in a later game update.
The checklist contains 24 assignments total—six in each of the four class tracks—according to Shacknews’ guide dated October 13, 2025. It does not establish a reliable completion-time estimate, so the time required depends on your match results and the tasks currently shown in game.
