How to Create a 24/7 Tamil Old Songs YouTube Live Stream from a Playlist

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To run a 24/7 Tamil old songs stream on YouTube, first secure the rights to every recording and visual, then create a YouTube Live event and send a playlist-playing encoder’s audio and video feed to it using YouTube’s server URL and stream key. YouTube does not loop a playlist link for you: the encoder or cloud playout service must play the files, advance or repeat them, and stay connected. Test the full setup before going public, and do not assume a 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one replay.

Before you build the stream: confirm rights and channel eligibility

Get permission for the recordings and visuals

Being an old song, finding a track online, buying a copy, subscribing to a music service, or crediting the artist does not by itself give you permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube requires the streamer to have the necessary rights for the live content, including applicable music licensing rights. Secure and retain permission for each recording and for any artwork, photos, or video shown with it. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions set out the rights responsibility.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the stream, interruption, or termination. Even if you have a license, ask the relevant rights owner whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist; YouTube explains this in Copyright issues with live streams. Do not launch on the assumption that a license alone will prevent an automated interruption.

Check live-stream access early

YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming well before your planned start. Check YouTube’s current eligibility requirements and confirm access in YouTube Studio.

How do I make an old Tamil songs live stream?

1. Assemble a cleared playlist and visual

Arrange the authorized recordings in the order you want them played. Prepare a visual you have permission to broadcast, such as your own title card, an authorized image, or a permitted animation. Label the stream clearly as a playlist and avoid suggesting artist or rights-holder endorsement unless you have it.

Use an encoder that can play the media files or receive their playback and can advance through or repeat the playlist. YouTube’s setup guidance does not define a universal looping control: playlist behavior is specific to the encoder or playout service you choose. Before relying on an unattended stream, verify what happens at the end of the list, after a network interruption, and if the machine or service restarts.

2. Create the live event and connect the encoder

  1. Open YouTube Studio, go to the Live Control Room, and create or schedule a live stream.
  2. In the event’s stream settings, copy the YouTube server URL and stream key.
  3. In your encoder’s YouTube or RTMP server settings, enter the server URL and stream key, then select the playlist and cleared visual source.
  4. Keep the stream key private. YouTube describes it as the encoder’s password and address; give it only to trusted operators and reset it if it is exposed. See Set up your encoder for live streaming.

YouTube supports both software encoders and standalone hardware encoders. A hardware device is optional; choose based on your workflow, playlist support, cost, monitoring needs, and verified restart behavior. YouTube’s general guide does not establish compatibility or reliability for any particular model.

3. Test the actual playlist before going public

  1. Start a private or otherwise appropriate test stream in the Live Control Room.
  2. Play representative audio and visuals, including motion if the final presentation uses it. Check that the picture appears, the music is clear, and the stream reaches the preview and watch page.
  3. Check the upload connection and YouTube’s stream-health messages. Use YouTube’s current recommended encoder settings for your chosen resolution and frame rate; bitrate depends on those output settings, so do not copy a value that does not match your feed.
  4. Test playlist transitions and any planned looping, then verify how the encoder behaves if connectivity drops or playback ends. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring in its live encoder settings guidance.

For ordinary encoder workflows, use the server URL and key provided in YouTube Studio. If you deliberately configure HLS ingestion instead, follow YouTube’s separate protocol requirements: MPEG-TS segments of 1–4 seconds, HTTPS POST/PUT requests, no byte ranges, and a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments. YouTube says HLS has higher latency than RTMP. These rules govern delivery to YouTube, not how your music playlist is organized; see Set up HLS live streaming.

Can I loop songs on a YouTube Live stream?

Yes, if the encoder or playout service feeding YouTube is configured to repeat or advance the authorized files. The YouTube playlist link itself is not the live video feed. The encoder plays the media, combines it with the visual, and sends that audiovisual output to YouTube using the event’s server URL and stream key.

There is no single YouTube Studio setting that guarantees looping for every encoder. Confirm the selected tool’s playlist controls and test the end-of-list behavior before launch. Also test whether its playback and sending process resumes after a restart or connection loss; do not leave a 24/7 broadcast unattended until those behaviors are established for your setup.

Will YouTube stop my live stream for copyright?

It can. YouTube says all live streams are scanned for third-party matches. If its systems identify content, YouTube may replace the feed with a placeholder, issue a warning, or interrupt or terminate the stream. A rights owner may also need to allowlist your channel through Content ID even when you have permission. The practical safeguard is to obtain the needed rights before broadcasting and coordinate allowlisting where applicable—not to rely on attribution or on the song’s age.

Keeping a 24/7 broadcast running

A continuous stream depends on more than a playlist: the encoder or playout service, media playback, power, and network connection all need a recovery plan. YouTube’s general encoder instructions explain starting and stopping a stream, but do not promise universal automatic recovery. Use your chosen encoder’s documented restart controls, monitor Live Control Room health, and test failures before treating the setup as unattended.

There are two practical approaches: run playlist-capable encoder software on a computer you maintain, or use a supported standalone hardware encoder. Compare the actual playlist controls, unattended restart behavior, monitoring, and total cost for your use case; YouTube supports both categories but does not endorse a specific model or guarantee its reliability. For another option that keeps a YouTube playlist stream running without a home computer, see the cloud block below.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is #1 for this use case because it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives the first day free. The setup is: upload your cleared recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on; StreamNeo includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed. The first day is free with no card, and monthly billing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free day.

Will a 24/7 live stream be saved?

YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A 24-hour or longer broadcast is outside that documented window, so do not expect the entire continuous event to appear as one complete replay. Plan a separate recording strategy or divide programming into shorter sessions, and verify the current behavior in YouTube Studio before relying on an archive. See YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance.

Common problems and what to check

  • Live streaming is unavailable: confirm channel verification and check for restrictions in the preceding 90 days. If activation is new, allow up to 24 hours.
  • YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: confirm the event is ready in Live Control Room and that the encoder has the matching server URL and current stream key. Reset the key if it may have been exposed.
  • The playlist stops or does not repeat: inspect the encoder’s end-of-list and repeat settings. Test the entire transition rather than assuming a YouTube playlist link will loop.
  • The stream is interrupted after a music match: review YouTube’s notice, verify the rights for the exact recording, and contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting where required.
  • Stream health is poor or the picture/audio is missing: inspect YouTube’s health messages, test upload capacity, and check the encoder’s selected sources and settings for the chosen resolution and frame rate.
  • The stream does not recover after a drop or restart: check the encoder’s documented reconnect and startup behavior, then run a controlled failure test before leaving it unattended.
  • The full day is missing from the replay: a 24-hour event exceeds YouTube’s documented automatic archive window for streams under 12 hours; use shorter sessions or make a separate recording plan.
