These actions are not interchangeable, not every item necessarily supports each option, and recovery is limited.
Before removing an item, check its purpose and restrictions
Open the item’s details and check whether it is bound, needed for a system, or eligible for storage or the action you are considering. Available official information does not establish a complete binding legend or a universal eligibility rule, so judge the specific item in your current client rather than assuming every piece of gear can be sold, destroyed, or extracted.
Some community inventory advice recommends checking supply requests before dismantling eligible gear, since certain drops may have another use. Treat that as a useful check, not a guarantee for every item or region; confirm requests in your client. Check storage before clearing space
NCSoft says AION 2 includes both character-specific storage and server-wide storage. If you may want an item later, check the storage options in your client before removing it. The notice confirms those storage types exist, but does not establish every access rule, capacity, label, or item-eligibility condition: NCSoft’s AION 2 notice.

A third-party guide describes a carried Cube and storage destinations, but those details are not official and may not match every client or current interface. Use the live game menus as the authority for where a particular item can go: third-party storage guide.
Choose the action based on the item and the result

The official policy treats NPC-shop sales, deletion, and extraction as separate cases, so do not assume one action has the same outcome or recovery rules as another: AION 2 global operation policy.

Understand the limits on recovering a mistake
The global operation policy lists recovery for mistaken NPC-shop sales once per account per year and says the sale proceeds are recovered. It expressly excludes items sold to make inventory space, so do not treat an ordinary cleanup sale as a reversible way to clear your bags.
The same policy lists recovery for mistakenly deleted items and incorrectly extracted items, also subject to once-per-account-per-year limits. These are policy provisions, not a promise that every request will be approved. Check the policy’s current wording and the terms for your region before relying on recovery.
